Ugh, those power bracelets (and magnets as well) are pure pseudo science, the placebo effect at its best. Hess was wearing two of them, do you really think they helped him win? I think it was skill, luck and proper ball in his hand.
If you want to buy some wrist bands that work just as well but cost %50 less, try THESE.

If you want to make your own and more powerfull one.
Go to grocery store and get one of those big rubber bands off the celery.
Now put a piece of alumninum foil (1" X 1") in a model of the great pyramid. Leave it there for at least 24hrs.
Now remove the foil and wrap it around part of the rubberband making a braclet.
Your power braclet is now ready.
You see the pyramid charges the foil with the cosmic power of the universe. And the rubberband from the celery has been charged with the bio-energy of life from the earth.this acts as a regulator that will allow the energy from the foil to flow naturally into your body.

While I agree there is no scientific evidence that they do anything at all, they is no disputing the fact that even the major pros that wear them believe in them. Whether it is a placebo effect or not isn't really the point. I'm simply trying to find out which brand the guys were wearing on the show. If anyone has any info, that would be great.

Mika I believe wears the Power-Balance one. I think Hess was wearing the EFX.
Ebay is cheap for these as opposed to some stores, i know in my area you can buy them for around $20-$30.

It pains me to see people buying into pseudo science like this. These things are a complete joke, just like the magnets. You might as well buy one of these, at least you know what you're getting.

I believe you have as much scientific proof that they dont work as everybody else does that they do work.
Im not going to say either way but if it makes you happy wear one.

Mika was wearing one, why didn't it work for him? Ahh yes, because Hess was wearing two right? lol
Beyond anecdotal evidence, there is no proof that these things do anything.
Why can't people just admit that they're better, faster, stronger than they give themselves credit for?

Way back when, a guy asked me about wearing a wrist device. I said had an old one he could try. He took it, went down to his lane. After first game went down to check on him. He had the device on his left hand, he's a RH bowler. He said it was the best thing he'd ever tried
