The guys in the booth had it all wrong, based on what I was seeing from Mika, I knew only a little more transition, and Chris' ball eating up more oil on the back, that Mika would be locked and loaded with the smokin'.

Great Job Mika!

Yep, Mika figured it out. Looked like he squared up a little and kept the ball out of the track. Ball finished then.

His constant flat 10, soft 7, soft 7, solid 9, flat 10 looked like some of my recent league nights!

Yeah, I never have seen a Smokin' that color. I saw the logo and said damn? Is that really the Smokin?

He looked great though. I was expecting a little more from PA though.

Couldn't it have been this

Ya, its a PBA ball, but it is still an inferno and the colors match up to what Mika was throwing.

Naw, there wasn't any black in what mika was throwing.  Plus, even shined up, that ball (which is a scorchin) wouldn't even be close to the reaction mika was getting.

it was a smokin inferno
http://pba.com/players/inthebag.asp

what i'm curious to know is why is mika throwing that its a fairly old ball for him to be using, i mean the oldest ball i know of some of the bowlers that i can tell is probably a year or more and its out 6 months old even unless its a good ball but i have seen chris barns using the action quite a bit though

Mika likes to keep his older stuff. He still throws his Blazing often.

LOL! I shouldn't even answer your post aftering looking at your waste of space signature. How about cutting that down a bit? We don't need your life story..

Anyway, he's using the Smokin' BECAUSE IT MATCHES UP WITH THE PATTERN. Get a clue.

Also, to refute this comment:

Danny Wiseman was on TV earlier this year using a MORICH PIONEER. Have you ever seen these guys in QUALIFYING and MATCH PLAY??? They use all sorts of older equipment. If it matches up, then they use it. On that level, I would say they take nothing for granted.

I know Mika won today but I was very unimpressed with that ball. I was surprised he was not using the Total Inferno (polished) or new Fury..

Of all the Brunswick balls available, I was shocked he was using the SI..

I was confused when they said mika was having trouble hooking the ball.  Then, I saw him throwing a HIGH RG polished smokin.  I know the ball should jump on the back, but it would be more likely to slide thru any carrydown.
