I bowled on scorpion yesterday, 167-171-174.

they're going through the same thing I did, not feeling as bad now.

smokin looks sweet with all that silver.

The guys in the booth had it all wrong, based on what I was seeing from Mika, I knew only a little more transition, and Chris' ball eating up more oil on the back, that Mika would be locked and loaded with the smokin'.

Great Job Mika!

Yep, Mika figured it out. Looked like he squared up a little and kept the ball out of the track. Ball finished then.

He looked great though. I was expecting a little more from PA though.

Couldn't it have been this

Ya, its a PBA ball, but it is still an inferno and the colors match up to what Mika was throwing.

Naw, there wasn't any black in what mika was throwing.  Plus, even shined up, that ball (which is a scorchin) wouldn't even be close to the reaction mika was getting.

it was a smokin inferno
http://pba.com/players/inthebag.asp

what i'm curious to know is why is mika throwing that its a fairly old ball for him to be using, i mean the oldest ball i know of some of the bowlers that i can tell is probably a year or more and its out 6 months old even unless its a good ball but i have seen chris barns using the action quite a bit though

LOL! I shouldn't even answer your post aftering looking at your waste of space signature. How about cutting that down a bit? We don't need your life story..

Anyway, he's using the Smokin' BECAUSE IT MATCHES UP WITH THE PATTERN. Get a clue.

Also, to refute this comment:

Danny Wiseman was on TV earlier this year using a MORICH PIONEER. Have you ever seen these guys in QUALIFYING and MATCH PLAY??? They use all sorts of older equipment. If it matches up, then they use it. On that level, I would say they take nothing for granted.

I know Mika won today but I was very unimpressed with that ball. I was surprised he was not using the Total Inferno (polished) or new Fury..

Of all the Brunswick balls available, I was shocked he was using the SI..

I was confused when they said mika was having trouble hooking the ball.  Then, I saw him throwing a HIGH RG polished smokin.  I know the ball should jump on the back, but it would be more likely to slide thru any carrydown.

I watched the telecast but I was kinda far from the TV all day. I was an official at a Youth USBC tournament all day verifying scores, making score corrections and having the pins respotted when needed. Anyway, when I saw mika rolling the ball, I thought of 1 ball only.....Brunswick BVP Punisher. Never thought of it being a Smokin Inferno. Thats one SWEET SmI and I want one like it!

I honestly think that Mika's game plan was to grind. Pretty much what Randy Pedersen said towards the end. "Mika has been in the pocket all game but has been struggling with carry" Norm Duke followed with "Yea Mika banked on getting that late string and it worked!" I think that's the reason he went with the smokin. Had he gone with a Fury or Total he would have been burning up that line waaaay sooner.

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one

This guy on youtube posts videos of the PBA
for ppl who dont watch TV or want to save the matches this will be great!
