About the show...I had it tivo'd and finally watched it this morning. What a great piece of work by the PBA. Don't get me wrong...it won't work every week...but what a fantastic job of showing what the players deal with through the week. The highs and lows of matchplay....the momentum shifts you don't see in a quick 10 frame sprint.
I mean really...once a year what is wrong with this? I thought it was the best show I have ever seen....I paid more attention while watching this show than any other for the last few years.
It's just sad that the PBA makes an effort...which by my account was great and most of you just complain that you don't hear more from Ball Reps and about layouts...really sad.

I loved it, it was definitely one the best shows I've ever seen.

I thought the show was great. I also don't understand what people want the PBA makes changes and people complain. PBA leaves it the way it was and they whine to, makes them sound pretty stupid

Informative? Maybe.. Entertaining? No way. It put me to sleep after the first 20 minutes.
-
I loved it. Have been watching it over and over.

Is there someone that knows a link to let you watch the show you guys are talking about?
I missed it and would like to see it.... Thanks, John

Apparently you care because you responded. I'm nobody....but I am a fan of bowling...so my input is valid.
Oh yeah...and go take a Valium.

Great show. One way to add to it and make it better would be to have had the finals on the real TV set. I just didn't care for the lack of camera angles and quality looks at the line they were throwing.
Other than that, it was great. I wouldn't mind seeing that a few times a year.

I liked the show. I would've just like to see more of the final match. But it was awesome to see what goes on during the week.
-
I enjoyed the show. But I'll take any bowling show to NO bowling show anyday of the week.

Going by that logic, the "input" from fans who didn't like the show is also valid.. Just sayin..

Russell is allowed to state his opinion, just like you are. At least by me, OP is a more respected poster here than you are, I'm sure Brooke Marie Winton would be so proud of you.

Good show and I liked how they showed the player and what they had to deal with throughout the week! Oh yea, if you don't like it just hit the power button on the remote or change channel, pretty simple!

I agree people can voice an opinion...but my point is that people constantly gripe and complain about every little thing the PBA does. I thought the show was fantastic and people are still complaining.
I think some people want the commentators to be ball reps doing nothing but talking jargon about what ball motion they are getting and what layout/surface prep the players are using....

Storm is uploading the show as we speak...this is awesomely fun to watch. I haven't watched it, but this needs to be done more. Bravo to the PBA.

There is nothing wrong with me just because I disagree with you. I did not
like the show because I want to watch people bowl--period.
-
I also thought the show was cool. I would like to see more best of seven final's.
-
I finally got to watch it last night. I really enjoyed it. I think it was very informative for the person that has never been to a PBA event to see how and what happens during an entire tournament. I wouldn't try to do it every week, but once in a while would be acceptable.

I enjoyed it and would like to see something like that once or twice per season, especially when there are some great storylines going on.
However, there was no tension, no buildup in the championship match. Especially when they say "In the fifth and final game...". I would prefer to see a one-game championship and show the whole thing.
Real preference: Two hour show. Half an hour of tournament documentary like we saw last week. Hour and a half of the show we normally get to see: Five-man stepladder, four-man match play, ladies, whatever the format of the week is.
I'd like to see another show like the old Dick Weber show with four guys in a round-robin match play on two pairs with the top two going to the final. I thought those were fun to watch.

There is a time and place for production like this. I liked it for what it was - but not in the timeslot where normally we would see ''live'' head-to-head action. This piece should have been promoted during a ''live'' show for a diff. timeslot, for the casual bowler who might be starting to like the pba.
But than again if the 4-lettered network covered the sport, than the pba wouldn''t have to produce a documentary to win fans. Our anger/disgust should be more directed at espn.

I thought it was pretty good..
It was kind of like "league of ordinary gentlemen" Great documentary about pro bowlers and bowling. I think they should have gone into more depth about the prep and psychological factors that bowlers go through..more about the balls that they were using too...
one of the best parts was when Duke was talking about how he knew the other guy didn''''t have a chance when he had to switch from urethane...
and Mika Koivuniemi almost crying cause he missed the spare..
If they aren''''t going to be showing the live full matches anyway I think I would like this format better...
