Which Motiv ball is that?
« on: February 16, 2017, 10:18:28 AM »
Yesterday I was watching round 1 of the 2017 FireLake PBA Tournament of Champions on XtraFrame. I saw a number of Motiv staffers throwing an orange ball (mixed slightly with a darker color).  What ball is that?  I see no such ball on their current web site.

Burn replacement? Wouldn't make sense to pull the Cobra or Shock and too weak of a core to bump up a line imo.

I wonder which ball it will replace.  Where it might fix, etc.  Please tell me that the Shock will be next to go!!! Please tell me that is is not so!!  In the current line up the Shock has been there the longest! I guess it is the one to leave us.

That's their "Hy-Road" I don't see the Shock leaving us for this Octane release but, I guess if sales have gone away, they just might.

Looks like a polished solid coverstock to me. I would assume it's in the middle column of the ball chart. Probably a replacement for the Burn.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks exactly like the Tribal Fire  (of course with a different core and cover, but still).

If you allow those exceptions, then my Apex Accent looks just like the Tribal fire as well.

I was thinking Jackal Carnage. Probably similar core and cover too 8)

It rolled very well - did not see anything flippy about it either.
Lots of strikes were being thrown with it.
