Pinky Curls
« on: March 06, 2005, 08:13:12 AM »
I have noticed that some guys on tour curl their pinkies under the ball and some guys extend their pinkies. Wiseman and Angelo curl their pinkies while guys like Kovuniemi and Jones extend their pinkies. Then there is Williams and Barnes who keep their pinkies fairly straight. I now curl my pinkie under the ball. What are the advantages/disadvantages??

"tucking" your pinky increases revrate and sideroll. see ron c's finger dancing tips at bowl4fun.com

eh, sideroll you can see a big difference in, rev rate doesnt change all the much. It gives you more "lift" on the ball, gets you under it a smidgen more, in my opinion it does not change rev rate to an extent that you can see the difference. (at least not for me) I tuck my pinky MOST of the time, unless I need to get less side roll. (I get too much either way)
