Robert Smith has more revs then any one on tour I believe.
-
yeah like 9x more revs than Scroggins... yet we see Scroggins on TV each week. But as a throwback to some of Pchee's old posts, I'm sure Robert Smith's rev rate gets him more chicks per lane than Scroggins ever dreamed of...

Randy said that Sean was approaching 500 rpm. On ESPN Classic they had a replay of the 2002 ToC and Randy said that Robert Smith had 540 rpm (540 rpm = 9 revs per second, right?). I think Jason Couch is in that range also. Anyone know what Tommy Jones has?
My son used the slo-mo on the vcr today and he counted 10 to 11 revs for Scroggs, 21 for Rash and 23 for Devaney.

rudy kasimakis, i dont know about now but pre-shoulder injury it was said to be 650 +- a bit, now its at the least 575, probably more around 600's. check out his new vid section at lane #1's website, its pretty much amazing.

maby he used to, sounds impossible but i didint think it was possible to throw it 35+ but i was wrong there, but i dont think he does anymore, at least not that i have seen.

i can see jimmy keith is not exempt, who is he?
-
I remember back a few years randy pederson did a demp with Robert on TV where Robert hit like 740 on the rev rate. He is the most powerfrul player on tour, but then again we really dont get to see what these guys can really do because of the conditions. None of the patterns warrant high rev rates, so no one will really be able to know.

Robert Smith has the CATS system world record for RPM and for ball speed. 740RPM i think, and 34 mph or something

I have many 200 games.

They also said he was able to consisitently throw between 710-720 for some shots, so it's not like he just put everything into it for one shot either.

hard to tell.
most are using sarge/drop ring finger grips to cut down rev rate.

He was recoreded having a 740 rpm shot but the 34 miles per hour was just throwing it straight. There is now way a person can throw a ball 34 miles per hour using a rev release. The ball would have to get to the pocket in uder 1 sec. Not possible.
Robert Smith can put more revs on the ball than anyone on tour.

You're correct, but can you just imagine if it actually *was* a 34mph, 740rpm shot?

I really don't know who it is now but when he was on tour Kelly Coffman had highest rev rate according to C.A.T.S. or so I was told. ..Dave D.

Experience and experiment, two great ways to learn..
It's in an article Kelly Coffman did not have more revs than Robert Smith.
Robert Smith has the most revs of anyone on tour period. He also has a lot of ball speed on the right condition.

I'm pretty you're getting him confused with Chuck Norris.

No, because Chuck's rpm rate isn't 2000. It's so high and unmeasurable that they just refer to it as Chuck Norris.

who cares. revs don't win touraments.
and so many people have "fake revs" ie just flicking the ball with all side roll.
-
i want a 600 rpm fake revrate
-
No, that was just a rumor. Because it's obvious that Chuck Norris never leaves tenpins. The real reason he was banned is because he didn't even bowl. He would tell the pins he would roundhouse kick them if they didn't go down, so the frightened pins fell before anything happened.

Nice to see someone put in Ken Simard. I saw in Louisville back in 2003. WOW!!!! Obviously Robert Smith is still the Man Stud when it comes to revs. Also dont leave out Patrick Girard. Benoit last year on Brunswickinsiders.com talked about how high his rev rate was. Also I have a video of Kelly Coffman throwing a Ebonite Turbo X back in 1995 pretty impressive for back in the day. Also one to not forget is thumbless Mike Miller.

On tour right now Blaise Bedolla is in the top 5.

Just for the record...it is not impossible for a league bowler not on tour to have a higher rev rate than some of those that are on tour. That is as asinine as someone saying that in order to hit a golf ball 280, you have to be a tour player. One other thing...I saw Rudy here in Atlanta a couple weeks ago. His rev rate has got to be low to mid 500s. Kelly Coffman had the highest rev rate during his time on tour. But, I still think that Robert Smith from what I have seen, heard, and read, is the leader in the clubhouse. He is known to be at 720. HOWEVER...he was told that he needed to tone that number down in order to be competitive on the tour. That is why he is at 540.

Tom Daughtery has to be in the high 500s and even 600s on some spare shots. Does he not count since he uses no thumb?

I keep seeing and hearing this 720 figure for Robert Smith.
The facts as I once knew them were about 3 years ago Jimmy Keeth went to Kegel and Robert Smith had been there and recorded in the low 600s! Very impressive.
Jimmy amped a couple up to about 720 and was crowned new champ!
Maybe Robert has been back and re amped.
Jimmy Keeth sadly as stated here passed away at a young age near this past Thanksgiving.
I believe he typically bowled in league near the 600 rpm range!
