who or what really amazes you with the pba?

i just want to know what has impressed you when it comes to the pba whether it be someones major win that sticks in your mind or the consistency of a player without ever winning.

what has impressed you?

Perhaps someone could get Bill Gates, or Paul Allen into bowling - now there would be some sponsors

Okay, I'll get serious: The thing that amazes me most about the PBA is the amount of equipment they let the guys bring to a tournament. It is like a golfer showing up to play with a "Rodney Dangerfield bag", with a 100 clubs in it.

Bill O' Neill amazes me, consistently making shows or getting close.  At least last year, not sure about this year yet.

Norm Duke amazes by what he can do with a ball.

It also amazes me that some people gave up throwing Storm and/or Roto Grip to throw another company(ies).

What's amazing to me is just how much better WRW, and Norm Duke are compared to the rest of the field.

Lets face it, all of the PBA players are very strong bowlers but the two above are so dam good its sick!

I agree with Strike Domination. Norm Duke is not much better than everyone else. Especailly not so far this year. Right now Barnes is bowling much better than Norm.

yeah chris barnes is one of the best and no doubt a future hall of famer. As Patrick Allen said "if Chris Barnes could get it off his hand on sundays he would win every week". maybe not every week but at least 3 or 4 times every season, and thats when he isn't "hot". he is the most versatile and such a technician. didn't fail to cash in 08-09 season. he just needs to get over the opens in 1 game elimination match ups (tv day), he knows he can lose a game during matchplay and gets over it and comes back.

Jeff Carter looks as though he loses focuse when he makes a bad shot or gets robbed and his opponent strings a few strikes together, then its down hill from there....


  i like the video on bowl spot where he sticks then kicks the foul light and breaks it... you see him pick something up off the lane and put it back on the foul light!!

What amazes me about the PBA is just how good these guys really are.

The regional players are good. No question. They can mop the floor with me any day, all day long. But the national exempt players - almost every one of them - can own just about anyone on the lanes.
