Why was the PBA (through the voice of Randy Peterson) trying to compare the PBA Finalist's to 4 Marquee NFL players playing in the SuperBowl?
I.E. Mike Fagan...........Ben Roethlisberger
Mike Scroggins.......Matt Hassselback
Tommy Jones..........Jerome Bettis
Patrick Allen........Shaun Alexander
The only comparison is they are all professionals and have the competitive fire to accel in their respective sports, but that's where the line should be drawn. I believe the PBA, especially as long as the organization has been in existence should worry only about it's sport. You don't see other sports trying to compare there athletes to the PBA.
Just my opinion............

Only God and Randy knows why.

Not a bad idea. There may be some other small, theoretical similarities, but most are inconsequential.

And you won't. Not any time soon.
Generally because most other sports, their participants and their fans do not regard members of the PBA as athletes. Yes, you can point out some people who do appreciate what it takes to be a good bwoler, but you have to realize that most don't even think of the PBA or bowling. Personally I regard some as athletes/athletic. Many are not.

FWIW, not just your opinion. Mine also.
