I was wondering if Norm will make the tour next year. That is assuming he does not win a before the end of the season. He is 51st in points now. What is the cut off for next year tour? It was 40 something last year.
-
He did not defer his exemption this year, so from what I understand, despite missing a ton of tournaments this year thanks to his injury problems, he's still got to either win or finish in the top 40 or so in points to maintain his exempt status for next year.
-
Maybe he is going to call it a day and retire who knows???
-
No Norm = Sadness.

Tom Cruise has officially reached Michael Jackson status.

Just think of how many spots he's opened up on the TV show.

Well if Norm doesn't make the cut and wants to continue to bowl, you can bet he will earn an exemption thru the qualifiers.

IF that happens (I hope he keeps bowling), then I hope he ends up on TV.
-
I 100% believe he will make the cut line. He's too good and I will also say he's been bowling his best of his entire career since 1994. The injuries have ruined what should be domination. He would have easily by far won POY last season if it wasn't for the injuries. He would be at the top of the point list if it wasn't for the injuries this season.
-
40 is the cutoff point.

How can you say that? He isn't bowling well this year at all. Maybe it is due to the injuries, but with the way Barnes and WRW are bowling, you can't say he would be at the top of the points.
Norm was a great bowler, and might still be, but I think time, and partying have caught up with him.

Duke just made the round of 8. He's already going to get a bunch of points reguardless. I predict he beats Lochetter and makes tv. He will be on tour next year.
-
Norm looks to be bowling well this week, I think he'll beat Loschetter and make the show. He'll be in the top 40 by the end of the season and if not, he'll dominate tour trials.

feh! You just have not been watching him the past 2 years. If it weren't for the injuries, he'd be in the top 3 easily! Watch closer next time.

He's up on Loschetter 3-0 and just shot a 299. He's going to tv with one more win.

Wow, all of the Duke nay sayers. The guy has an injury bug & people are writing him off? Mustn't be paying attention. The guy can flat out bowl. He's long from being done, my goodness. He only turns 44 next month, for pete's sake. He will be on TV against WRW this Sunday. Don't plan his retirement party for a long time.
On edit: Fixed to "will be" instead of might be.

I watch every show, and he hasn't bowled worth a crap this year till this week.
Last year he has a pretty good year, but hasn't been a top guy on tour for the last 4 years or so.
