averaging 246.44 for 9 games, is quite impressive for a difficult shot

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

I know plenty of people that bowled this week. Said if you could hook the lane you were golden. Left gutter to right gutter was the place to be.. Belmo loves doing that, so no surprise in his success this week

I don't care how much the shot is tailored to Belmonte's style of play, to be +916 for 27 games in a PBA Major is damn impressive.

Hopefully he makes the telecast.  I would love to see the entire game of bowling broken in a single tournament.  Not being mean, pessimistic, etc. but bowling started to get broken as a sport when the first reactive ball was released.  Like it or not, bowling was not originally designed for all the advances that have come about.  

Soon everyone will use 2 hands because it clearly gives you an advantage under the right player with excellent control.

Trust me I take nothing way from Jason. I have known him for like 4 yrs now, very good friends with him. His talent is out of this world! I was just making an observation that it really doesn't surprise me to much!

What, at first, appeared to be nothing more than a novelty, has turned out to be one of the stories for the 2008-09 season.  Belmonte looks as if he's ready to compete on a weekly basis for titles.  Putting up these kinds of numbers on a major tournament pattern in nothing short of outstanding.

Then "everyone" would bowl two handed already since Osku Palermaa made the US Open Final in 2004...
Just like every other style the 2handed one has its advantages and its disadvantages. There is a reason why we hardly here any other names than Belmonte & Palermaa when they talk about 2handed bowling, believe me.
FYI: Cassidy Schaub also bowls two-handed and barely averaged 200.

@Mvpbowler: I don't think it is easy as that. There were a couple of Power Players that didn't even make the first cut.
