Mike Sheady(sp?) Earl Anthony 1992
« on: November 10, 2007, 10:58:28 AM »
Saw this guy winning over Parker Bohn in the 1992 Earl tourney.

Man...he moves well and throws good.  It was so good I almost thought he was a lefty.  Almost a mirror image of Parker...or Richie Wolfe.

I didn't even know righties could look this formful throwing a bowling ball!.  The last guy I thought looked so good on the right was Randy Pederson in his wrist brace days.

What did this guys career end up looking like and how come I've never seen him bowl since?

Anyone?

Form is overrated... just ask WRW Jr.

His head moves more than the one on his bobble head doll.

Mike Shady= 1 career title (1992), he still bowls and lives in PA.  That's all I know.
But, I do not know anything about Mike Sheedy.

I believe Shady can be found bowling USBC's with Jeff Richgels and company searching for another eagle every year.  You could send a PM to riggs to find out.

Shady is still bowling, and is a Ebonite Regional staffer up in Wisconsin. Still bowls in Regionals right now, the tour may still be i his future, hes still young, late 30's early 40's or so. Fun to watch him bowl on espn classic.

Shady does bowl with Riggs on one of the two Smith Barney teams at the USBC tournament each year.  I believe he finished in the top ten in AE in 2007.  He is a high school teacher in Pa.  He is originally from Wisconsin (Ripon, I think).  He comes back to his home state a couple of times each year and when he does he takes a day to give bowling lessons in Madison.  He is an excellent, excellent bowling instructor.  He is great at analyzing your bowling game and showing you how to correct flaws.  Many instructors have the ability to spot errors in a person's game, but Mike excels in seeing the cause of the flaw and conveying how to correct it.  And in addition to all of this, he is one of the nicest down-to-earth guys you will ever meet.

I bowled against Mike in my first Regional. I made the cut and I think he was my first or second match. Got my a@@ kicked by a better bowler. lol Seems I got all the lessons that day.   Still only dropped 3 spots so the day wasn't all bad.
