Look at some of the names of those averaging less than 210--it can't be too typical.

The last time the Cheetah was in Buffalo, the scores were much higher. Look at the results here. http://pba.com/livescoring/qual_results.aspx?RoundID=515

haha wow. really? did it just go there...im just saying the pattern doesnt seem to much harder than normal...it is obviously down from years past, but its not crazy hard. The averages are right around the other patterns, which i am sure the pba guys are enjoying because now they dont have to shoot 250 to qualify

they tweak the patterns pretty much everyday...its nice to see to be honest. i know talking to some of the pba guys last year it was a total let down knowing they had to shoot 250 plus to make it...meaning you need 9 strikes a game or your done...

i love how i get bashed, it cracks me up. i am merely stating that when a bunch of people are saying how hard it is and blah blah its this and that, it doesnt seem to be tooooooo hard for these guys. it seems to be having the same average as the other patterns. so take it for what its worth. these guys are jsut that good and they are going to find a way to bowl well on anything.

I think you're misunderstanding what some of us said about the Cheetah being harder.  The Cheetah IS harder than it used to be.  It's not, however, the hardest pattern in the world by a lot.  Yes, the version of the Cheetah that I bowled on this past season in my PBA Experience league played very tough for most of us, but that's only one version of it.  Remember, multiple versions of the pattern are laid out during the season, not to mention the patterns change every single day in a PBA event, as we've noted several times.  (Remember, the scores were pretty awful yesterday in the TQR until they tweaked the pattern)  We're not talking about something like the US Open pattern here.  Scores are pretty much almost always going to be within about a 20-30 pin window with all the normal sport-compliant patterns depending on the characteristics of the house.

Cheetah has been modified. No longer think of it as a high scoring pattern. It may be hard to accept, but some pros will say it is as hard or harder then the Shark or Chameleon.

The high scoring patterns are either the Viper of Scorpion now.
