Rhino Page...
« on: August 29, 2009, 07:53:13 AM »
Is anyone watching Xtra Frame right now? They keep flipping to Rhino on and off and the ball hes throwing has me puzzled, it looks color wise like a Nomad Pearl. I don't recall a storm ball with that color scheme, anyone have some insight? Could it be a new ball or is Rhino allowed to use the Roto stuff?

Well it would be the Nomad pearl, the staff guys seem to be throwing anything under the main brand this season. Wes has thrown the new Reign a lot, Tommy was throwing the 505C and it looks like Pete is throwing some Roto stuff too.

I was watching earlier when Ryan Shafer was in the booth for a little bit, apparently they have opened up both lines to all their staff players after the chameleon championships.  Ryan said it was in response to ebonite opening up their 4 brands to alot of their staff guys.

It makes complete sense to me, they want to give their guys the best chance to win.  The nice part about The storm and roto lineups is that there really isn't much overlap between the two brands, so by opening up both brands they have instantly doubled their options.  I see this being a very good thing!

Thats very good to know, i was wondering if there was some new stuff coming or they opened it up. Makes sense to open it up in my opinion, it'll be interesting to see what all gets thrown. Thanks for the reply guys.

Is this only going to be for the WSOB or will this continue on.

I don't see it stopping. Companies are fried they aren't beating Team Utah right now so they are going all out. I guess they did not think Utah would fight back. LOL

Britton, just a question about the Roto gear as opposed to Storm - how are they different?  I honestly don't know much about Roto, I've thrown a Neptune once in a while when I need something to go straighter than my plastic (lol), and nobody I know really throws it.  My educated guess is it has a bit more midlane and a more arc-y shape to reactions?

I don't see any reason why he can't throw Roto-Grip stuff, Storm own them too.  So if I am correct, he should be able to go back and forth from Storm, and Roto Grip.
