It's real easy to criticize from the couch.
Here another way to look at it. Barnes has so many options to hit the pocket that in a one game crap shoot, maybe he made a choice that didn't give him the extra room to cover up a mistake. Here is another thought, what if he catches a break on a solid hit early or breaks up a split. That changes the complexion of the game in the end, too. A player like Barnes will always have an advantage in a longer format of games because when gets in a groove, he won't miss much.
You can't rag on the guys' talent, ability or TV record, he's excellent. Definitely top 5 out there.
Remeber 2 weeks ago Rash won. This kid has all of the tools to be great, but he had a plank of area to cover the mistake. Throw in an early Brook and a trip 4 and he's on his way to a 269. Change those to 9 spares and he loses a close game. Make them big 4's, the game is over in the seventh.
It's one game, anything can happen.
My record sucked, too. 12 wins 18 losses. Sometimes a bad break at the wrong time. Sometimes a bad shot at the wrong time. Sometimes just caught the guy who got the big break. Sometimes caught the lefty when they were "supposed" to win. Many times, had to win 3 or 4 games to the title. The odds are against you doing that too often.
When all of you armchair bowlers get in that situation, let's see how good you throw it.
