I am going with Wes Malott, he is bowling unbelievably consistent right now and I don't think that this pattern will slow him down.
-
It's hard to argue with the hottest bowler on the planet. I look for Shafer to have a good showing as he always seems to be in the hunt on the tougher patterns.
My wishful thinking pick is Bryan Goebel. Hope he has a great week.
-
gotta pull for Duke, he's been the major master lately and if he gets hot watch out
-
Strike alot Malott is my pick...

Todd Loy
Roto Grip King of Them All!!!!

If not Mallot, then PA is my other choice sicne he's been making telecasts lately.

i would love duke to win and get his 4 consecutive majors but i think that Ken Simard or Bill O'Neil, even though it would be their first title and a major but they deserve a first title and bill has made so many telecasts this year and ready for a title and ken can overpower tough patterns and his confidence is probably still zooming from throwing a televised 289
Kenny and Bill are not bowling this week. Tournament of Champions. They dont' have a title yet, so they can't bowl this week.

Come on Carmen! In last place now, but wouldn't that be great?
Really, though, you'd have to think Duke or Malott are the favorites.

my pick is Duke, kinda hard to NOT pick him since he's won the last 3 majors. The other obvious pick is Malott, he is just so HOT right now its stupid.
Other picks, would be PDW, WRW jr. I would say Bill O'Neill but since he cant bowl in it, I cant pick him, but he is also very hot right now.

i think that this is finally the major that shafer wins. i think that if he hadnt gotten the flu before the show last TOC, he would have won.

I was hoping to see John Nolen tear it up, but after 5 he is +59 and not even in the hunt. Those guys are good.
My pick is Mike Scroggins. Party at Scroggies!

actually i think this is chris barnes show. but also thinks wes and duke might be on the show. but would like to se some of the "older" pba stars compete on a show, could be very funny
-
How about Rick Lawrence hanging tough at 12? Underdog fighting for his TOC life. I smell Sunday storyline.

I could handle seeing a Del Ballard Jr, Voss, Monacelli, and Goebel.
-
With the advantage of 2 squads of qualify, I think the person to beat is Malott. I would like to to see Voss at least make TV.
With the 64 man field on most PBA stops, a lot of good players are not out there. They can win, but don't want to go through the qualifing. (A factor for giving Anthony's wins greater value than WRJ.)
-
norm duke is waaaaay back. but look whose #5? Michael Fagan, could this be his time to shine?

My 4 for the show after the dust settles:
Malott as first seed
Shafer as second seed
Voss as third seed
Patrick Allen as fourth seed

Whoever faces Barnes in the finals?
Wait, those jokes aren't funny anymore. So I'll just say I'm rooting for DeVaney, but expecting a lefty to win, probably PA.

Voss and Smith are both in it for Match play. I would like to see either one get to the final match. A Voss comeback from semi-retirement to take the TOC would be great to watch. Plus he is bowling very well this week. Somehow I think the scores will start to drop as they get to TV and we won't be bored with a strikefest.
-
John Nolen with a big 3rd round score, moves up to 18th

--------------------
Ahhh Disco Biscuits!
-
Come on Parker (and lane man), we need an all lefty major. PA and Rhino shoot 2000+ this block, good stuff. Let's just get Malott out of there.

Was down there today for a few games... Rhino striking at will.. PA struck a bunch. At one time had like 23 of 24 strikes in 2 games. John Nolen made a huge move today too!! Bowled great. Could get interesting with the high scores!

lol...you actually have to win a title be be illegible for the Tournament of Champions. Simard and O'Neill have never won.
