PWBA bowlers start pro shop
« on: August 12, 2003, 10:32:29 PM »
For those that haven't heard, Aleta Sill (31 titles), Michelle Mullen (4 titles) and Lisa Bishop (4 titles) have opened up a pro shop.  It's in Country Lanes in Farmington, Michigan.  I know Aleta Sill used to deal with the same pro shop that I do, so I guess they have lost a good customer.  Lisa Bishop used to work at the pro shop in Taylor Lanes where the PBA stages the Greater Detroit Open.  Aleta Sill and (I believe) Michelle Mullen have retired from the tour, but Lisa Bishop was not only bowling on the tour, but showing signs of emerging as a bigger star.  Given that the PWBA is barely breathing these days, this is clearly a good time to be getting into another business venture.

I know that these three are all capable coaches.  I don't know about their expertise in the equipment and drilling area of pro shop operation, but I wish them well.  I doubt that there is another pro shop that can boast 39 PWBA titles!

Aleta and Michelle were working with the drillers at Bowlers Aid Pro-Shop in Taylor. I saw them in there. They were learning some extra things working hands on with those guys. Maybe there shop will turn out to be somethin great.

Yep, that's the pro shop that I go to.  I've seen them in there frequently--and Marianne DiRupo too, before she moved back to Jersey.  I have a hunch that they will do well.

Doesn't michelle mullen still work with PBI, still? They have a few pro shops in chicagoland.
