Brian,
I think that reaction has something to do with the lane as well. The backends were pretty nice in Cinci (Kentucky.....)  She seems to just come thru the ball at a 45 degree angle...not a lot of lift...just right thru it.....

I like her intensity. When she is bowling she is there to win. That is how it should be. I do not think I have seen a woman bowl with such focus.

Am I the only one that sees her as the Walter Ray of the women's tour---
speaking in terms of style. Both are straighties pretty much, both like the line outside of 10 board and if they have to use different equipment to bowl there then they do. Niether of them really have alot of revs on the ball, WRW does have more than CDB, BUT if she were as big as him she would probably be where he is at.

Having read the previous posts about Carolyn's rollout shot, just want to throw in this tidbit.....................Everyone knows that the greatest rollout bowler ever was none other than......................Del Ballard Jr.!!!! Duh.... I bowled in league with him in Richardson, Texas some years ago and the man would kill you with a urethane ball rolling out and striking. There's the link.
