Kudos to Kelly

Great bowling Kelly Kulick!  BTW, her self-motivation was better than the commentary being provided by the ESPN commentators.  The gals need more of this type of passion in their shows and maybe someone will come out and rescue the PWBA Tour before bowling loses one of its best promotional vehicles.

Yep. Kelly outdid herself. I always knew she could do it. She and I have discussed how badly she wanted this first title. And to have it be a major!! I'm so thrilled for her!!
While watching yesterday, I felt like I threw every ball with her.

She is an excellent coach, and a great competitor. I had an opportunity to bowl her head to head (but for only 4 frames) a few months ago. I wish we'd had more frames - I lost, but only by 2 pins. :-)

At the end of last season a thread was started with the question of who would be the big threat in 2003.  I posted that if Kelly Kulick could ever close the deal, it might be a long season for the rest.   Well....she closed the deal.  Bowled with her in a Pro-Am and she is quality all the way.

She didn't get rattled; she made the changes she needed to do.  Consistent game after game.  It was fun watching each competitor step up and try and take her out - Leanne, Wendy, Michelle and finally Carolyn.  Each with their own style.  I taped it and am so glad I did.

Mumzie, Kelly does seem like she would be a great person to bowl with - someone with a real passion for the game and a great attitude.

I'm very happy for her, but she could have made the first game against Leanne Barrette alittle easier by picking up her 10 pin.

Also I have a question, I couldn't make out what shoes Kelly was wearing. I know there Dexter's, so im thinking there are the new SST 6 XL's (Kangaroo Leather)   ANYONE KNOW????????

Viva la PWBA!

Yeah, I taped it too.  The way she was bowling, nobody would have beaten her.  Just a great display, she bowled incredibly.  Everybody wishes for a day where everything just comes together, and she had one.  Made some pretty accomplished players look bad!

When it's your day, it's your day, and Sunday proved to be a great day for Kelly.  Of course, she had been on a roll during the entire tournament just to make the telecast, and she pulled everything together on Sunday for sure!  She definitely dominated the competition, and it was fun to watch someone of her caliber win their first title.  She definitely earned her win, cutting down 4 opponents on the way to the big check.  When she looks back, the trophy will mean far more than the check itself.....that's what made it so much fun to watch.

I passed the sentiments on to Kelly this morning...gave her the web address, so maybe your well-wishes and kudos will prompt her to add her voice to the site.

Come on Michelle I met Kelly one time at a tour stop.  She is much too nice for a band of hooligans like us.  You only survive by putting us in our places.
