Radical Bonus Pearl Review

I drilled the Radical Bonus Pearl to be a stronger, quicker symmetric ball than the original Bonus Solid. Where the Bonus Solid is super smooth and continuous, the Bonus Pearl is like the solid on steroids! I laid out the Bonus Pearl 3.5” x 30* to give me what I call “flare & flip” to get the ball to chew through the oil and motor hard on the back part of the lane. The Bonus Pearl is exceptional when you have medium length sport and THS patterns, and if you have clean back-ends…look out; this ball will hook sharp and strong, continuing through the pins as well as any symmetric you’ve ever seen! If you are looking for the perfect 1-2 punch out of your symmetric balls, look no further than the Bonus Solid & Bonus Pearl from Radical. The Bonus line is as good as it sounds.  I recently shot 300 with the solid and have had great success with the pearl too.  This is a great ball for a house shot because of its forgiveness going down the lane and stored hitting power when it gets there.  Having the Solid and Pearl benefit each other because when the Solid starts reading too early, switching to the pearl is a great option to have in the bag.

My Specs: LH / 525RPM / 18-19MPH / PAP - 4-5/8" over x 1" up

Layout: 60x4-3/4x40

This ball is quickly becoming another favorite for me. In comparison to the Bonus Solid (60x5x60), the Pearl is similar in length but offers more down lane motion (roughly 3&1 difference). IMO, the Bonus line is up there with the best in terms of what you'd expect out of a benchmark symmetric reaction. Radical preaches continuation as a mainstay of their designs, and it's proven with every ball they release.

As mentioned in my review of the Bonus Solid, these two are a match made in heaven when looking to tackle those medium patterns!

My Specs: RH/ 325-350RPM/ 13-14MPH/ PAP 4-1/4" over and 1/2" up

I am a Senior Stroker

Layout: 30x5-1/8-0 (high pin and no buffer)

This is my second time using this layout. My first attempt was on my Counter Attack solid and it turned that ball into a house shot killer!! I had been having a hard time with high friction houses and houses with super clean backends, due to my slow speed. However, this layout on a low-end piece allows my ball to turn the corner like a beast, especially should I encounter a little carry down. Whereas I swing the ball with my CA, because of the pearl shell on the Bonus I can play a little straighter and the ultimate results are pin devastation! My second time out with the Bonus Pearl I posted my very first 800 series! 290-279-255

This ball is a keeper and obviously a great compliment to the Bonus Solid which is super smooth.

I may be constructing an arsenal of all Bonuses after this! Great ball!
