COMMENTS
Likes: The Yeti Uncaged compliments the Unleashed and the Untamed perfectly! This ball is everything Mo and Phil claimed it would be hands down. The Uncaged is so clean through the front and middle part of the lane and comes off the spot with and attitude that has nothing but bad intentions for the pins. If your in the market for a strong pearl/hybrid symmetric this is the ball your looking for.

Volume: 25.85ml

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):  Kegel Autobahn

COMMENTS

Shot 728 with this ball the first night I used it in Sport League.  Really clears the midlane but gets into a nice roll.  I did not change the OOB finish.  Back end is sharp and crisp, I had mistake area downlane to the right and a bit of tug by the time the 3rd game arrived.

This is a very well designed piece and will complement any style of bowler.

Likes:  Hits very hard and revs up without hooking early

As a big fan of the previous releases in the Yeti lineup, I couldn't wait to get this ball.  I drilled it with the Pin above the fingers which puts the pin about 5" from my PAP.  This ball is very clean through the front part of the lane and makes an aggressive move downlane when it encounters friction.  This ball is a must have for lower tilt and lower rotation bowlers to help them open up their angles.  For bowlers that skid the ball a little easier, a quick surface adjustment will get the Uncaged to pickup a little sooner while maintaining a strong move downlane.

COMMENTS

Likes: This ball is the best, most drilling-versatile "long and snap" ball. I drilled 3 different layouts. Each one reacts totally different at the break point. Pin Over has a sharper, shorter break point. Pin under is smoother, more continuous. MOtion Hole has the most length and back end with the hardest hit/ pin action.

This cover likes the heads to be beat up a little. Once the core takes over the pins don't stand a chance. Great for game 2 or 3 in league, or late games in long tournaments.

See your Pro Shop to see which layout type will work best for your release.

Dislikes: Ball doesn't do too much on heavy oil.

Type of bowler: Tweener
Avg Speed: 17.5
Rev Rate: 375-400
PAP: 5 x ¾ up
Layout: 65 x 5 30

Drilled this ball looking for skid-flip and didn’t get as much as I thought. The drill is my go-to drill for this reaction but the ball didn’t make the move I expected.

THS 41 feet – Ball came off the point well when it got to the dry. However, when I moved in the ball struggled in the hold and carry down.

WTBA Atlanta pattern – 38 feet was good for this ball. It allowed it to make the point and drive. When this ball gets moving through the pins it finishes well. Again, the issue with it was when the oil went down the lane it struggled to make the point.

Overall, I think the ball is good for friction but if you’re looking for something that’s going to fight the carry down that ball didn’t do it for me. Surface change or higher VAL angle may be needed for that for high speed players.

COMMENTS

Likes: This ball is the best pearl on the market.  Even when the fronts start to go, this one won't hook early.  And downlane?  WOW does it come off the spot and hit the pins HARD.  I can't remember the last time I've had a ball that has sent so many messengers.  So if you want a ball that is clean, strong, and angular, then do yourself a favor and get this one!

Dislikes: Doesn't perform well in higher volumes.

My Yeti Uncaged is drilled  40* x 4 1/8' x 70*.  This puts the pin below my bridge, for me this one of my favorite drillings.

Since I had put experimental drillings on the Unleashed and Untamed, the original Yeti was my previous favorite Yeti.  The Uncaged packs the same drilling versatility as all the bowling balls with the Finger Scoop technology, but the cover on the Uncaged brings new additives that give this ball a very sharp change of direction.  As every ball, the drillings can limit where you are able to play on the lanes.  I've left the cover as OOB surface prep, which makes the surface quite shiny.  This allows me to get right (I'm a lefty) on a THS and bleed the ball to the dry and still see kick off the breakpoint to have the ball travel through the pins with plenty of energy.  I have also used this on other patterns which allow me to get left of 10 and play direct, keeping the angles closed, and the ball reads the end of the pattern very clean.  If this makes sense.....a very strong/clean reaction is what you will get from the Yeti Uncaged.

If you are looking for a very solid ball that you can use on a variety of lane conditions and surfaces, give the Yeti Uncaged a shot.  Found in the Reliable use line of Radical Bowling Technologies, this ball will give you a wide range of uses.

As always, if you have ANY questions about the current arsenal, I encourage you to email me directly!   #TeamRadical
