Anyone that knows me, or has read my reviews in the past, knows that I don’t usually favor high end strong asymmetric equipment. With the release of the Guru line, I have actually started having quite a bit of success using some “trick†low flare layouts. With the release of the Guru Limited, a pearl form of the original Guru, I was excited to see what I could do with this one.
I chose a layout of 70x3 3/4x30 to create as much continuation as I could get out of the high end ball. I have a Guru Supreme with the same layout that has been one of my favorites.
The Guru Limited is EXACTLY what I was missing in that line. I had a fairly large gap at the top end when going from my Guru Supreme down to my Ridiculous. The Guru Limited fills that gap.
The Guru Limited gets through the heads very easy for a high end ball, but it still provides the classic Guru strength, motion, and hitting power. It gives me the perfect option when the heads have burned up, but I still need the strength down lane. I also don’t feel like I need to force it through the heads, which is what typically happens to me in that situation.
This ball will be great for the lower speed, or high rev players that don’t usually match up with high end equipment, but are looking for that option it the bag. It is also a great option for anyone looking for a ball to switch to when their super strong ball gets to be too much!
