I have thrown exclusively Brunswick equipment for the last 13 years, but this ball made me want to try the Radical line.  All I can say about this ball is WOW!!  It is such a strong reactive asymmetrical ball!  I couldn’t believe its recovery ability, the room it creates, the versatility of the drilling it allows the bowler to have.  This cover core combination is an absolute winner.  It is a Radical benchmark ball.  Its incredibly clean through the fronts, has great stored energy for maximum hitting power, and it can recover from almost anywhere.  This ball is amazing, everyone I know that has one, loves it and for all the same reasons.  There is no amount of oil that can contain this ball, it will hook on any condition.  The cover is amazing allowing the ball to get down lane and not check too soon.  Once it clears the pattern the ball reads the lane beautifully giving the bowler the confidence that is will respond predictably and with a strong hooking motion.

I drilled this ball  70 x 5 x 35 which causes the pin to be above my fingers.  I’ve seen quite a few quality players use this ball with a pin down and have amazing results.  Its such a versatile ball.  I love taking it out of the bag right away and using it on fresh conditions.  Due to its versatility I’m allowed to have this ball in my hands for a long time, before needing to make a ball change.  On the rare occasion this ball starts to burn up quickly, an easy transition to the Mighty Guru will allow you to play almost any lanes effectively.  With is forgiveness it will also give you the confidence to throw great shots, knowing this ball will respond and recover for you.  It is one of the best balls I’ve ever owned.

– Drilled 40 x 5 x 70 – Weight hole in lower P4
When Radical advertised this as the most aggressive ball, they were not kidding. I used my favorite layout that I had used on the Yeti Unleashed for a comparison in ball motion. The Guru does not read as soon as the Unleashed but is significantly stronger and more responsive on the back end motion. I see there are a lot of versatile drills that can be used for a variety of bowlers. The Guru symbolizes that not only can Radical balls hang with the stronger balls that competitor brands put out, but also make you feel that choosing to go with the Guru made your game that much better.

I used a pin down drilling on this ball. It revs up so smoothly off the break point and has wonderful continuous motion. It is definitely a ball for heavy oil, but the pin carry is awesome when there is enough oil to keep it from hooking early. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a ball for heavy oil.
