The Radical Katana was named after a Japanese sword that has a curved single edged blade with a long grip. The Radical Katana Slash continues this tradition with increased angularity. This ball has the same core as the original Katana but the Forged 2 coverstock is stronger and more aggressive. This ball is a backend monster when facing heavy oil conditions. The Katana Slash not only offers awesome performance but lots of backend reaction on heavy oil as well.

Color: Dark Red Pearl/Light Red Solid
Core: Katana Asymmetric
Coverstock: Forged 2
Finish: 500, 1000 Siaair/Crown Factory Compound
RG: 2.503**
Differential: 0.050**
** RG and Diff are based off of 15 lb. balls
Recommended Lane Condition: Heavy Oil

Radical Katana Slash,
I’m left hander. Ball speed around 15 mph. Rev rate around 275-300. It was recommended to get two of these balls. One with a short pin layout another with a long pin layout. The layouts are 120 x 1 1/2 x 60. The other layout is 50 x 4 1/2 x 40 with a P3 balance hole. By doing the two different layouts I have two different backend motion. The short pin layout allows me to play straighter up the boards. And the other allows me move deeper inside swing it. Now these balls aren’t for the light volume oil patterns. But this setup works great together. There is about 9 boards hook differences between the two. I think Radical Bowling Technologies did a great job designing this ball.

COMMENTS
The Katana Slash is the most versatile ball I have ever thrown.  Its cleaner than the original Katana through the front but reads the midlane a lot quicker and has a more angular continuous on the backend.  I laid mine out for a cleaner skid through the front and more downlane motion.  The Katana Slash is a homerun ball

The Katana Slash is a terrific option if you're looking for a versatile ball for a variety of lane conditions.  If you don't have the budget for a 6-9 ball arsenal then certainly this is a must have option.  Mine is drilled 55 x 5 3/8 x 45 and I see easy length, a clean shape, and really strong hitting power.  The Katana line continues to excel with a great complement to the original.

This ball takes really well to surface adjustments, I don't have a great deal of ball speed but have been able to use it on patterns as short at 36' and as long as 44', truly this is a winner.

Tom Smallwood ran the table and won the PBA Players Championship with this ball, take a look at it online just to see the potential.

A great option for any serious or semi-serious bowler.

I have three Katanas. The OG Katana which I love. The Katana Dragon, and this one the Katana Slash.

The Slash is a hybrid. A mix of pearl and solid. As such this makes for an extremely versatile ball. Took it out for a spin yesterday and averaged 239 with it.

Contrary to its description I've used this ball on lighter volumes with much success. It is extremely clean through the fronts with a surprisingly big backend move on the back! Great ball to have in your bag as a compliment to other Radical pieces.

My Slash is drilled 55 x 5.5 x 65, (pin down)the same as my OG Katana. This makes this ball extremely controllable and a monster on the lanes.

Just as jpbowl said, this is a great option for any serious or semi-serious bowler!
