The Radical Guru Pearl Limited is the original Guru wrapped in a pearl coverstock. This coverstock makes the ball versatile and cleaner through the fronts and then more angular on the backend.

Guru Limit
This ball is awesome! I'm a left handed player with ball speed around 14 mph. Also with a high track. So I drilled up the Guru Limit with a 80 X 3 3/4 X 30 layout. This ball gave me 6 more boards of area on the lanes. I started my first game with the original black guru drilled 50 X 5 X 40 with surface of 2000 grit. Shot a score of 225. Switched to the Guru limit to start the second game. I shot a score of 258. And stay with the guru limit for game 3. Ended up shooting 267 the last game. I was amazed by how much room I had on the lanes with this guru limit. Looking forward to using this ball in the up coming fall season.

Likes: I just drilled this ball this week, I have only been able to bowl with it once so far and that was on THS. This ball made the shot look easy and the carry was exceptional, pins went from side to side instead of straight back. I was really surprised that I was able to start out with this ball and have success, I usually start out with something a little bit more agressive and then ball down but this was reading the lanes perfectly. Great addition to the Guru line!!

Likes: Had the time to throw some shots the other day with the new Guru Limited. Quite impressive, I don't think there is another pearl high end ball on the market like this one, it has the length of a pearl but reads the mids well. Very easy to control. Ball is drilled 50x5x35. This ball does as advertised. I was bowling on what was left of our high volume 40' houseshot and never had an issue getting it down the lane. I see myself using this ball on longer oil patterns as well as medium patterns or after 2-3 games of play. Ball will get a lot of lane play.
This ball will fit well right under my Primo solid and Guru Master when I need more length with more kick on the backend.

When I was thinking about the new Guru Limited, I was thinking about backend. Since I already have a pin down Ultimate Nirvana in my arsenal, I punched that beast 70x4.5x30. The reason behind that is to complement my Ultimate Nirvana and have a pin up, strong asymmetrical pearl ball with a stronger change of direction, more backend reaction. The first thing I noticed with that ball is how it decelerate when it exit the pattern and make its move. Pretty amazing to see how that ball grab on the lanes. That ball will be perfect for medium pattern or longer pattern when the lanes will start to open a bit. The particular part about that ball is its coverstock. Whatever surface you put on the ball, it will keep its shape and just make its move sooner or later depending on what grit you use. With the addition of the Limited, the Guru line is now more versatile than ever.

Radical Guru Pearl Limited
•   Personal: Right Hand, 419 rev rate, 55 degrees axis rotation, 24 degrees axis tilt, 18 mph off hand speed.
•   Layout used = 55x5.625x90
•   Box surface & 2000 grit abralon (by hand)
•   House shot = 44ft medium to high volume (25 to 26 ml)
•   Old wood lanes (lots of friction but an out of bounds still exists)
•   What I expected with this layout on the high friction wood surface was a ball that read the midlane strongly with a readable motion through transitions.  Due to my high tilt (24 degrees) I tend to struggle with balls that don’t transition to the roll phase soon enough and “miss” midlane read.  Asymmetrics give me more control over the transitions but can also accelerate the transition too harshly.
•   The midlane read is very strong, yet it is a continuous motion.  I saw no indication that this ball would not finish its motion though the pin deck. 
•   The light hit to high hit carry percentage was very close.  The high hits were solid but the light hits were very impressive.  I noticed multiple messenger pins on light hits.
•   Starting the second night of league in the second game as I wanted to see what this cover would do in box condition as the pattern began to transition.  One thing to bring to attention is the ball maintains its shape/motion even as the pattern begins to open up and then break down.  My transitional moves based on the house characteristics were similar to previous league nights yet the motion remained very continuous instead of bleeding too much energy through the lane.  As I moved in the ball did not become more angular instead it kept its strong continuous motion.  This made adjustments very easy and staying with the ball longer through transition was more predictable and comfortable.
•   Changing box surface to 2000 abralon by hand.  I adjusted the surface this way because not everyone has instant access to a spinner at the immediate moment that you can change a surface, for example during practice before league or tournament.  The only difference was that the ball started the same motion it showed in box surface but just a bit sooner.  The hook-skid-roll transition did start about 2 feet sooner.  The motion was still very continuous yet just a touch smoother as the ball went through the pins.  I was standing about 3 to 4 boards farther left with my breakpoint/exit point being the same.
•   Overall (for the house shot) I find this ball very clean and continuous with good readability in ball motion.  Carry potential looks to be very good at either light or high pocket hits.  This one will get some extended use in my bag. This type of motion would look to fit most medium to medium heavy volumes.  Longer patterns with heavier volumes may require a surface change based on your particular game and preferred motion.  I don’t see this ball as a first choice on the short patterns in box condition but may be a possible transition piece with the correct layout based on your release parameters.
•   Once I have a few games on sport conditions I will update my review.  I suspect the ball to be a bit sharper off the end of the sport pattern initially.  I expect the ball to become more continuous as the end of the pattern begins to blend.

Specs: Left Handed, 15 mph, ~400 rev rate, drilled my Guru Limited 45*4.5*40* (PAP is 4 1/2" over, 1/2" up). This puts the pin above my ring finger. I chose this drilling because I wanted hook, no other reason. I wanted to see the ball travel down the lane and then change direction. This happens to fill a void on the top end of my arsenal, where I don't have a strong pearl asymmetrical ball in my lineup. Wow, does this ball curve. The beauty about the pearl cover, this has allowed me to get way inside (4th arrow and deeper) when the lanes start to get toasty. The ball clears the front amazingly and maintains the necessary kick on the back of the lane. This core is a proven core and if you are looking for a ball to compliment any other strong ball in your arsenal, I will put this Guru Limited against that ball. If you are an existing Guru owner, this ball will make you drool!
