Radical Sneak Attack
I’m a left handed bowler. My ball speed is around 15 mph. My Rev rate is around 280 rpms. I recently punched up this ball. My layout is 60 x 4 x 30. I used this ball on my house shot. My house shot is 43 feet long. I must say I have been very pleased with is ball. With its micro textured Pearl cover. It allows the ball to get through the fronts and slows down just enough in the mids and still has good backend motion. I also have used it on medium sport pattern. I did have to changed the surface a little. I had to lightly sand it with a fresh 2000 grit. To get the ball to slow down sooner.
I think this is a great addition to the Radical bowling technologies line.

Thanks,

Radical Sneak Attack Hybrid: More bang for your buck!

I am a medium rev, medium speed lefty and drilled this Radical Sneak Attack Hybrid to be the go to ball when the lanes get a little crispy, or the volume is less on a sport pattern. I have used this ball on Wolf and on two different house shots, 39 ft. and 41 ft., and this ball really impresses on those patterns. It has the length of the Counter Attack Pearl, but the flare and hit of The Closer Solid. I drilled it 45 x 3.75" x 30 to maximize the flare potential while giving it that lower back angle to achieve a quicker, sharp motion to the pocket. This will not be the ball to use when they are flooded, or you see a lot of carry-down, but when they are short, flat, and fresh, look out! If you are a serious tournament bowler, or more speed challenged, this is a must have ball in your bag! A great addition by Radical!

Drilled my Sneak Attack over a year ago but haven't put enough games in on it until now to finally write a review.

I went with a pin in ring layout which is about 4" and 40 degrees from my PAP.  This happens to be one of my favorite layouts for lower end balls as it helps these balls tumble a bit more and be less sensitive to wet/dry.

It took me a while to write this review not that I don't like the ball - it is in my tournament rotation, it is just that our local houses are not shy about dressing oil and with my ball speed this ball skids too long for use in league.  Playing dead up the friction in league just hasn't been the ideal play and we are typically seeing 26mls every night with a new lane machine.

Most of my play with the Sneak Attack has been in tournament play either after many games on bad surfaces or bowling on the original versions of "street" in older houses where they dress 20ml house patterns.  The advantage of the Sneak Attack for me has been to stay further right and play on top of the strokers (I am probably 17mph and 385rpms) when camping right is the correct play on drier lanes.  I find that a lot of lesser hooking, weaker bowling balls at the lower price points just don't roll up enough to carry on shots inside of target or hook sharply if they see the dry boards early and this ball seems to find a way to blend the lane out in the right way.

Compared to other balls in my bag, the Sneak Attack is typically 3 boards stronger than my Twist and a lot less sensitive to oil.  It is weaker than my Raw Black and Track Heat mainly due to surface prep.  In terms of shape and roll it most reminds me of the Hooligan Taunt or even the Avalanche Electric Green - both great low end balls that have been for me in years past on dry lanes.

I would recommend the Sneak Attack for bowlers with medium to more revs and are wanting to find a ball to straighten out their angles on dry lanes.  Being forced to stand all the way left to find hold in oil can lead to some steep angles so it is great to find a ball which lets me play on top of the strokers.  This isn't a ball I would recommend on fresh oil, but more of a ball that can be used once the lanes begin to dry up and some serious hook is developed in the track.  I really like this ball and it is the weakest ball I would recommend to a tournament level competitor.
