The Radical Katana was named after a Japanese sword that has a curved single edged blade with a long grip. The Radical Katana Dragon continues this tradition with increased angularity and the highest hook rating to date by Radical. This is achieved by using the same core as the original Katana but the Forged-X coverstock has super friction. This ball is a mega hooking monster when facing heavy oil conditions.

PAP 5 9/16
Layout: 90x3"x35 No Hole
Slightly Rev Dominant

I am always a big fan of the asymmetric balls coming out of the "Mo" brands. Although I do not bowl on many floods, this will be an obvious choice for dealing with the real flood, when necessary. This can be seen with previous Mo products that I have thrown.

Realistically, though, I find myself using this when the patterns are still pretty fresh up front, but the backs are a little too wet dry. This ball is great alternative to urethane when the backs hook too much (shorter patterns), and I need to keep the ball in front of me. Given the layout, it will give me a good opportunity to start with this ball on some of the longer patterns (45' and upward) to play close to the headpin, then ball down as the ball starts to hook too early.

The Katana Dragon is the new measuring stick for all our hook in a bowling ball. This ball was rated right over Radical’s hook monster, the Cash. The Dragon uses the same Katana core but juiced up the cover with different friction additives.

I decided to go with the layout 90x2x45 as suggested by Mo for a low flare layout. This is the 1st ball where I’ve tried this layout. I was looking for a ball for the shorter patterns or the longer ones playing straighter.

I got exactly that. Perfect ball for wet dry lanes, drier ones. The ball is soo controllable, but the magic is when the ball hits the pocket, that’s where this strong core is a must. Mo knows his stuff!!!
