Likes: Great go to ball as the heads start to break down. Works very well at this point can bump the track and not get the early reaction and does not become lazy at the backs as you continue. This ball I think would be a good choice four you're bowler with slow soft ball speeds who always like to play out

The Rave is the newest release in the EZ-Use Line from Radical Bowling Technologies.  I compare this ball as a great compliment to the Grease Monkey Whack!  The Rave allows me to stay in same zone as I happen to be playing with the Whack, but is much cleaner off the end of the pattern. 

Have you ever been using a low end ball which requires you to move in with your feet and eyes, but eventually you run out of room with that ball (i.e. you are asking too much of that ball)?  I'm sure you have.
This happened to me with my Grease Monkey Whack a few weeks ago at a tournament.  The Whack was very strong off the breakpoint, but was just getting too deep with the Whack.  I couldn't square up since the Whack was coming off the end of the pattern so strong.  Change to the Rave, a bit more firm with my ball speed and a couple boards squared up, back to striking again!

Here is the new addition to the EZ use line, the Rave.  For this ball they used a brand new core with the patented scoop design.  This ball was design to get amazing performances at an affordable price.  It is designed to accommodate all styles of bowler on medium house shots.

Like all the other balls it the EZ  use line, I used a pin down drilling to get more roll because when I drill them too weak and a pin up, they never turn the corner.  I used a 50 x 4 ¾” x 70.

The box finish is 500 siaair with a royal compound.  On the lane the ball was giving me length with a great backend.  This ball has a little more length and backend than my whack.  I played this ball on a burned house shot and I was playing 2 boards right with me eyes and 1 with my feet compared to my Primo.  This ball fits perfectly between both rack attacks playing the grape 1 and 1 left and the cherry one and one right.  The grape was rolling sooner with less backend while the cherry was longer with shaper backend.

Like all the other radical bowling technologies balls, the surface can be easely modified to suits every bowler needs.  The royal compound can be sanded to add more grip for players with more speed.

To conclude, you get a lot of performance for a low price.

Likes: The Rave is Radical's newest ball in the EZ-use line. A new core with the scoop technology, this ball is a great addition to the lineup.

I drilled mine with a pin to pap distance of 1 3/4". I wanted something different in my bag, something to play up the boards or to keep playing the track when it breaks down. I got exactly what I wanted. The ball is clean through the heads and arcs its way to the pins. But what is great is the pin carry for a drilling I don't personally use a lot. It hits quite hard and carries well even without a prononced entry angle. The only thing I did with this ball is take away a little shine with a 3000 pad. The ball fits between my 2 Rack Attacks. I might even drill a second 1 a little stronger to fit near my grease monkey whack. Now that's Radical!!!

The Rave is the most recent ball in the EZ-Use line. The Rave will replace the Grease Monkey line. This is a new era in that line because the arrival of the Rack Attacks. They will now provide a benchmark performance at lower cost.

For my part, I punched it 50x5x70. I want my Rave to complement my Grease Monkey Whack, a lower flaring ball with a control layout. When I have to play with a control reaction whenever it’s outside or inside, fresh or when the lane opens up, it’s the ball I choose. A lot of control with great continuation through the pins, that ball drives the pins like no other ball in his price point.

The coverstock is still as versatile as any Radical cover before. A little bit of compound or padding and you’ll see the difference. Don’t be afraid to adjust it to what you need.

This ball is a great addition to the Radical line.  It is on the lower end of the Radical line, but gives a great value for the performance.  Most pearl covers produce a highly angular motion at the breakpoint.  This ball is an exception to that rule.  The continuation in the backend is impressive, but smooth enough to still be controllable.  The is a great option for lower volume house patterns or houses with older lane beds.
