Likes:  With this ball haveing a "old style" inverted light bulb core I drilled this a little stronger than what I normally would drill a ball like this.  I drilled it pin up 60* X 3 1/2 X 30*.  Ball is pretty decent on the fresh had to be more precise with my reve rate and speed, but once started to dry up the ball and a good roll to it and real predictable off the pattern.  Great piece when the Grease Monkeys are to much.

Great entry level ball. Smooth reaction even on lanes with less oil. Does not over-react. Awesome ball to finish with.

Likes: Strong and Controllable

Dislikes:

13* tilt, 50* axis of rotation, 400rpm 19.5mph.

I used this ball on the fresh house shot multiple times and have not been disappointed. I am able to play straighter on the fresh than I ever have with any other Radical release that I would use on the fresh. Starts up in the midlane, never takes off/over reacts and comes in high flush. As long as I can play straighter angles, this thing is a monster in disguise. No other company can come close with performance/price than Radical does with this ball. It can handle a little bit of oil, but it isn't nearly as strong as the Guru's or Yeti's. Straight and smooth!

Radical Rack Attack Solid and Pearl
Radical Bowling Technologies has added these two balls to their line. They are beginners balls. The core has a light bulb shape. These two balls work great on the typical house shot. Medium to dry lane conditions. I was able to start with solid with factory finish and by the third game I was able to use the Pearl Rack Attack. These two balls work great together. So for the bowlers that are just starting are are two balls to choose from. For the bowlers looking for a medium to dry conditions. These two ball are a great choice. For the high rev bowlers that are looking for a ball for hooking conditions. Well look no further. These Rack Attacks are great. #WowThatsRadical!

The Rack Attack Solid has quickly become my go to ball when I need a predictable ball motion on lower volume conditions.  Although stronger than expected, it still allows me to keep my angles straighter through the front part of the lane without losing hitting power.  I used Mo's "Most Versatile" symmetrical layout with the Pin 5" from my Axis and a 25 degree VAL angle.  If you are looking for a great ball for light to medium conditions, you can't go wrong with the Radical Rack Attack Solid!

– Drilled 50 x 3.75 x 70
When faced with challenging conditions, the Rack Attack solid gives me a touch more bite than the Rack Pearl. I have yet to find a dry condition where this ball can excel over others. Love the traditional light bulb core that was brought back out.

This is a great addition to the line up. I used a 70x4x75 layout (pin down).  This has been my go to ball since drilling, the smooth controlled move off the spot makes this ball a must have for most house shots.  Tweaking the cover a bit to match your speed and rev rate, will only improve the performance.

I drilled my Rack Attack Solid 50x3.5x30. It is such a smooth, predictable, ball motion. this ball is a medium- medium/light pattern dream. This ball allows me to keep my angles closed on the fresh and keep the ball in front of me. As the lanes start to open up, I can move in a little and get around the ball more and create a little more angle to keep carrying. With all the hook monsters that Radical has, the Rack Attack series is a must have in every bowlers arsenal.

I drilled this ball 60x3.75x45 (newbie leverage) as an option to split the difference between urethane and my reactives on short patterns as well as to get on top of the low rev players.  My choice to go with the strong layout is I want to see the ball read the midlane hard, yet roll off the end of the pattern.  I removed the polish with a 4k pad as most of my games with this ball have been on 37' Broadway, a Kegel Challenge series pattern with lots of friction outside of 5 and booming backends.  The box polish looked better on the house shot, but realistically I want my equipment prepped for tougher patterns/tournaments.
My old urethane ball gives me a decent look up around 5, but the carry is often suspect after game 1.  The Rack Attack Solid allows me to take a step left and cross around 8-9 at the arrows and blend out that little bit of downlane oil.  My closest reaction to this ball is my pin in ring Hooligan Taunt, which lets me bump 2-1 right due to its weaker cover and layout.  Together, these 2 balls make a good 1-2 punch and give me plenty of options to combat short oil patterns.

Radical Rack Attack Solid (http://radicalbowling.com/balls/rack-attack-solid)
90 x 1 3/4 x 45 (1500 Abralon)

Personal Stats:
400-450 RPM
18-20 MPH
PAP - 5 5/8" over, 1" up
Axis Tilt - Estimated 8-12 Degrees
Current League Average: 238

Intended Use:
With the 40x4x40 layout, I needed a step up from urethane, but well below everything else in my bag.

Reaction:
This fits the hole I had perfectly. Smooth, with more recovery than urethane but only 2-3 boards more overall hook. Exactly what I needed for short patterns.

Overall:
Much more confident in my short pattern game with this ball in the bag. I've even used it to win a tournament on a 40 foot flat pattern after two squads and finals lofting the left gutter! This is just the perfect low-end motion!

First off let me explain what kind of bowler I am.

I am a Full Roller with a 90 degree axis rotation with zero tilt.
I have very low ball speed (10 mph at the pins) and very low revs (150 rpms).

Because of this, on drier house shots, I am forced to use urethane. Even weak reactive is too strong. But as you know, the problem with urethane on modern lane conditions, is it loses its punch as the set goes on due to oil saturating the ball surface. No amount of wiping will prevent that from happening.

Recently I joined a league that is bowling on the 43 foot Big Ben pattern on the slick Brunswick Anvilane surface. They put down a ton of oil compared to the drier house shots I am used to.

Urethane will simply not work for me on so much oil, so I needed a reactive ball that could give me the same control look as urethane but carry where urethane could not.

So I contacted Radical and sent them a video of me bowling and my delivery specs. Mo Pinel recommended the Rack Attack Solid. He said it should give me a urethane look on heavier house shots. To play it safe, I had the ball drilled with a low flare full roller layout. I wanted as much control and conservation of energy as I could get. I kept the ball at the stock finish of 500/4000 siaair. I am rolling it in 15lbs.

I was not disappointed in Mo's recommendation. I can stand with right foot on 13 and ease the ball up 10 board all night. It will rotate gently through the oil getting excellent length, start to subtlety read the midlane and once it hits the back end it rolls hard!

Wow! This ball blasts the rack out. I don’t normally have a ball hit this hard that has this much control, but wow! Radical has done it again. I can’t emphasize enough how incredible this ball is. To have this much control and length and yet roll so hard through the pins once it gets going.

Remember I roll the ball real slow and you can count the full revolutions of my ball as it goes down the lane easily because my revs are so low. It seems like a ball going this slow with so little revs couldn’t possibly hit hard, but with the Rack Attack I can shock a lot of high rev players.

The carry for me is simply awesome. If it is high flush then 10 back. Slightly light and I have a mixer. A miss right coming in half pocket will get the 6 pin falling off the side board to take out the 10. Real light and I can trip the 4-7.

And here is the best part, because of my low revs and the excellent length this ball has, I can use this ball for all my spares!

The Rack Attack is the perfect solution for me on heavier house shots. It rolls for me like urethane but with a stronger back end and heavier roll.

This ball gets my top recommendation. It is the perfect ball for the low rev, low ball speed player who wants high rev high ball speed hitting power!

Here is a video of me using it on the 43 foot Big Ben pattern on Brunswick Anvilane low friction surface:
