The Trail Blazer Solid and I have had an odd yet beautiful relationship. Originally bought a couple different big solids desperately looking for a replacement for my Paragon Solid which cracked. Grabbed a couple TBS because I like the numbers and I'm a huge fan of Radical. Dumpster diving B7 deals is the greatest thing in bowling as these were dirt cheap when I bought them.

At first, I did not get along with this ball. It seemed inconsistent and I would suddenly have a huge 700 series with it one set and then not be able to reproduce shot to shot the next. I eventually put it down in favor of the Brutal Collision in my bag. However, after my Brutal Collision's performance seemed to die after about 100 games, I picked up the TBS again... and man, I am loving it! I am not sure what changed, maybe the cover needed 20-50 games to break in? But I am loving this ball more than anything in my bag right now.

This ball HOOKS, maybe the strongest backend ball I've ever thrown. Definitely up there with a fresh Brutal Collision. There are so many positives with this ball. My favorite thing about it is the core winds this ball up and the roll phase of this ball is one of the most explosive i have experienced. Even when I was having difficulties with this ball, the core and screwdriver like action through the pins was one of my favorite ball motions I've ever seen. Radical really impresses me with their cores, the Katana Assault also has a similar explosive winding up action in its roll phase like this ball that creates explosive carry.

The ball motion of the TBS absolutely rocks! One of the most continuous rainbow like motions and aggressive balls that tries to bend harder than anything I've thrown. This ball is so much fun to throw because it just keeps coming back from everywhere. This ball lets me get deeper and throw to deeper breakpoints allowing for steeper angles and more strikes. I used to be a stroker who would just boom the ball up the right ten. But this ball lets me play like a cranker and get deeper than I have with virtually any other ball. It's just so fun to watch it boomerang back. I have an extremely pedestrian hand but this ball makes me feel like I can bend it like EJ or Belmo.

Also love the colors of this ball, the black/blue/orange combination looks great. Threw some orange grips in my TBS and its a unique bad ass looking ball.

For $90 on most sites right now, this ball is a ridiculous amount of performance. Dumpster diving B7 deals is the absolute best thing in bowling. You can get two top shelf bowling balls for the price of one Storm or Motiv top shelf ball. These Trail Blazer Solids are ridiculous and if you're looking for a new top end Solid with the most backend available, this might be a great choice to experiment with.

For some reason I am having difficulty modifying my previous post. But would just like to add... This ball slows itself down unlike anything i've ever thrown. I've always prided myself on being able to get firm and bomb the ball. But this ball really wants to slow down as soon as it finds friction which allows this bad mothertruckin' core to spin up and explode off the spot. Really unique ball motion which I wanted to add as a note to my previous post.
