Specs: Left Handed, 15 mph, ~400 rev rate, drilled my Jackpot 55*x4x55* (PAP is 4 1/2" over, 1/2" up). We tried something different with this, drilling the pin in my ring finger. I needed a weight hole as well. I chose this drilling because I my "go to" drilling has been pin over the fingers or pin under the fingers (I don't tend to drill too many pins less than 2-3"), so thought this might be a decent happy medium.
This solid cover on this ball is a great mid-range cover! I have found that taking a light (by hand) bad and hitting it with anywhere from 2000-4000 grit has helped me blend the lanes front to back, which dramatically helped control the ball going through the pins (especially at a couple of bowling centers where newly installed Twister Pins have been used this year). This allowed me to start with the solid Jackpot and as I migrated too far right, or if the ball just couldn't maintain enough energy to go through the pins correctly, I could shell down to the original Jackpot (or ball up to something like a Ridiculous Asym) and keep drilling those pins! Like every line of balls within the Radical Family, we fill voids. We don't re-tread another ball and just put a new logo on it, there are strategic releases that allow us to meet specific metrics on the lane. Get your hands on this ball, as it can be another great benchmark ball for a league or tournament player.
