The new Tremendous from Radical is an updated version of the original Guru. Additives have been added to the cover to reduce the early laneshine produced in the 1st Guru.
My pap is 4 3/4, 1/8 up. I drilled it 40x5x70. I wasn't a fan of the 1st guru (drilled 60x4x30). The idea was to get a controlled read with a bit of pop at the end of the pattern. I got exactly that and a lot more continuation than what I thought. The ball reads the midlane, no matter which angle I'm playing. The hook and roll phase are very prononced with this ball. You can keep chasing the oil left and still have lots of continuation, that's the main difference between the Tremendous and the Guru.
Even on lighter oil patterns, I was able to keep a soft hand and never had issues with flat tens.
The Tremendous is a great all around ball, fits right under my Cash and above my Quick Fix.

Likes: very similar to the original

Dislikes: needs plenty of oil

Basically I bought this ball as a replacement to my original Guru which now has about 500 games on it. It just isn't hitting as hard as it used to. So my Tremendous has a 3.25"pin, 3 ounces top weight, and CG is shifted 1" to the left of pin-MB line. This allowed me to drill 55x5x45 with no weight hole (just drilled the ring finger deeper than the middle finger). I got the reaction I was looking for; predictable length, lots of area at the breakpoint, and excellent continuation at the pins, virtually no deflection. Shot 274 with the very first game. It's very similar to the OG when it was new. This was a very worthwhile purchase to replace an aging member of my arsenal.
