1st night with the Torrid Elite
« on: February 15, 2013, 10:54:17 PM »
spec's 15#
layout dual angle  40 -  4 1/2 - 45
 17mph
 325 rpm  @ kegel

1st game was playing little to deep shot 238.  X or 9 count = clean game
2nd game move right shot 266 made operator error in the 9th frame 7 count. clean game
3rd game move back 2+1 left as game went on shot 279.  for 30 clean 783

I was playing most of game 2 + 3 straight up 5-6

The torrid for me was a smooth rolling ball. I do not like skid snappy stuff I do best with smooth rolling predicable reacting balls.

I like the reaction off the break point nice and clean. even though the torrid has a lower RG i need not see it rev up real early. My Old Diamond back rev's up early

Will try this weekend on a 35' sport pattern and Monday night on the USBC blue

first impressions it could be in by bag for a long time and if I like what I see on sport might have to get another for the future

Will see how the next few weeks go with the Torrid so far I like this ball .

And Great price point

Just  my .02 hope this helps a little

Do you have any additional Radical balls? How does it compare and/or complement?

I have the Slant Pearl and the Slant Hybrid I feel both Slants are stronger off the break point then the T.E. The Torrid is very smooth rolling ball for me. On a house i rarely need anything stronger then the slants. So the Torrid should cover 80% of my House league nights. On sport I might have to adjust the cover did not have good look on a 35 foot pattern on sunday with the Torrid
