300 with Torrid Elite
« on: March 07, 2013, 11:07:00 PM »
First off we where on 1&2 last night.  this pair is the worst pair in the house. The transition on this pair can cause some of the best bowlers headaches. 1st game is always the best, down hill from there not matter who you are. It has always been like this for the last 12 years.

So I shot 300 1st game the T.E. worked great never moved 1st game great reaction for the front 14 then we lost the back end. Yes it does happen that fast on this pair . Put the T.E. back in the bag after the 4th frame 2nd game. Went with more surface. Everyone was struggling. I eeked out a 702 and was happy with that. Only 700 on the pair. We had a great Senior pro on our pair who has 5 regional and 1 national title. He was scratching his head all night. So I am very happy with The T.E. and my night.  being that 1&2 has the lowest amount of honor scores on it . I feel the T.E. did a fanatic job in the 1st game. Since I have gotten the T.E. have used it in 15 games.  lowest full game is 236. I can tell when the T.E. needs to go back in the bag. For Me this ball does not over react. Nice and smooth just can't throw it to fast. I think this is one of the best balls I own for a house shot. Great Ball for the Price will be getting another one. will save it for when this one goes dead.

My specs
15#
40  4-1/2  45
17mph
325rpm @ kegel

Just .02 hope this helps

Congratulations on your 300 game.  Nice bowling.

Yes, in many houses (including mine) the first pair is usually more difficult.  Whether it is because the lane machine has not yet warmed up enough or because of the way the air circulates so close to the wall or the temperature off the wall, who knows.

Always accept it as a challenge and don't go in with negative thoughts about it beforehand.

Congratulations again on the game and the series.

Good bowling.  Sounds like the TE matches up well with you.  Smart move to pick up another while they are still available.  Have you tried any of the other recent Radical balls?
