Royal Blue Ringer equivalent in Radical's line up
« on: May 10, 2015, 02:02:52 PM »
Really enjoying my Blue Ringer and I'm also trying to stick to a Radical arsenal for simplicity...

Pin in ring finger, PAP is 4 3/4" > and 1 1/8" ^

Fairly simple layout, no extra hole...

Would a Rack Attack Solid be similar?

The Solid would be pretty close. Think that would be a layout that will work well on the Solid.

Thanks... I already put holes in the pearl RA and will look at my release numbers (rev, tilt, etc...) before doing another piece. Changed my fit with the Ringer and think I will move forward with that in the future. Still need to reconsider what my benchmark layout will end up changing to...

I've seen one comparison of the Radical Attack solid to a Soul by an internet dealer. I think the Blue Ringer was MUCH closer to the Soul than the RA solid. In this set of reviews, the Soul was a good 5+ boards stronger than the RA Solid. This is/was not a deterministic review; that is, it did not set the definition of these balls, but it was ONE comparison. In thinking about it, it seems that a weakly drilled Soul might be much closer overall to a Blue Ringer than the RA Solid.

So put more of a benchmark type layout on it and added a hole (P2 area) to get it to finish through the pins better.  Similar enough to the Blue Ringer in some regards that I let the shop polish it so there was a more distinct separation between the two on a house shot...

I also have the Pearl RA...
