grease monkey v pow
« on: July 06, 2014, 08:46:53 AM »
It may be a bit early but here is the question anyways: how does/will the pow compare to the original grease monkey?
With the pow release date looming am I better off waiting for it?

I saw a regional staff member throw his POW a couple of games last week, Because of the different cover stocks (solid vs pearl) the POW was much stronger then the original monkey. I actually commented on how deep he was playing and the ball kept charging back with excellent continuation thru the pins. If you PM Radical in RI on this site he will be able to give you his opinions, as he was the bowler I was watching.

I've been happy with the POW. The solid cover does allow the POW to start earlier than the GM but it doesn't lose anything going through the pins. I've used it on the PBA Scorpion in our PBA Exp. League and our regular house shot. Once again Mo and Phil have made a ball with great performance at an even better price point!
Grease Monkey and Grease Monkey POW great 1-2 punch at a Great Price.

Thanks for the responses. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the original grease monkey. I am waiting for it to arrive to be punched up. With the lower volumes of oil where I shoot it will probably get more action than the POW would. Cannot wait to throw all my radicals since they are still at the shop. Have the yeti and reaxV2 ready to pick up, with the GM that should round out the arsenal, but will pick up one more for the set once I see where the gap will be.
