Personally, I have not bowled any of these balls, but would take the Grease Monkey.

I have the original Torrid, the Yeti, And the Yeti Untamed. All three are awesome! From what  have seen, and from my own experience, Radical doesn't have a bad piece of equipment in their line up.

I actually have owned the Yeti, Yeti Untamed, The torrid affair and I currently have the Grease monkey. For me the grease monkey is a very well piece of equipment for the price point, It is such a smooth rolling piece of equipment and it is a very strong piece for me even on fresh oil.

The Grease Monkey is a awesome ball with a double thumb drilling,  the untamed yeti is as well.  I also think the Version2 solid and pearl are a great 1   2  punch on your THS with clean backends ( version2 with a motion drill and the pearl with a double thumb drill ) they dont have a bad ball in there line right now and I can only amagine what they will come out with next.   all my buddies love throwing there equioment..
If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)

You have that RIGHT Bowlingman. not sure why they have this ball in there MID price range but you do get the big bang for your buck thats for sure..  I look at this ball as a HIGH end ball amd its a little stronger then my Version2 Pearl  ;)

Between the Torrid Affair and the Grease Monkey you can have most conditions covered and not have spent alot of $$$.
In the performance for price catergory you can't go wrong with any of the Radical pieces.

Just got my 14lb "Monkey" today, here are my initial thoughts:

Layout: Honestly, I'm not completely sure, but it is drilled pin down.

This ball really performs, being the stroker that I am the Grease Monkey fits the bill. It wasn't hooking like I thought it would, but I noticed a LOT of oil on the lanes today. Under medium-dry conditions this ball would perform great, just don't expect "Reax" performance out of the "Monkey". Despite my somewhat slow ball speed, the Grease Monkey shredded the rack consistently. Though it performed best hitting heavy on the headpin. For me the ball was flat through the middles, and stronger down lane. I expect a more well rounded motion under better conditions. The "Monkey" is versatile ball I would recommend to strokers, tweeners, and crankers alike. Through my local pro-shop I got the ball for $120 drilled, which makes the Grease Monkey by far the best ball for the money, at least to me.

Likes: Very smooth motion, and it hits the pins like a bullet train.

Dislikes: Wasn't performing great under heavy oil conditions, but I knew it wouldn't before I purchased it. So no real complaints here.

Overall, the Grease Monkey is an outstanding ball, and for under $150 drilled this ball  should be in every arsenal. If drilled aggressively, the "Monkey" will become a "Grease Monster".

Do you all think that the Grease Monkey is similar to the Lights Out?

Grease Monkey seems slightly weaker than the Lights out - but similar shape - VERY smooth.

What surface is everyone using on their Grease Monkey?  Mine is a little too weak and "squirty" out of the box..   I believe it is 500 > Compound > Polish....  Was thinking about taking it to 500 > 2000 no polish?
