Be careful doing a Rico on such a short pin. Unless there's a lot of top, you won't be able to put a large hold on the "MB", which I find makes the rico drills a lot more dynamic, due to more flare because of the large hole.

Got to try the Reax on the heavier oiled ths shot Thursday and the ball is a monster. I am going to have to adjust the surface for me to be able to use it. OOB is perfect for lower rev players or speed dominate players. Also would be well suited for sport conditions and flatter oil patterns. The ball is earlier then the Paranormal and 3-5 boards stronger. Easily the biggest hooking ball I have thrown. I plan on taking the ball to 4k on the finish and filming this coming week. Likely will only shoot in one or two houses. This ball hooks a ton no matter which of the locations I go to.

Do you have the Torrid to compare the Yeti to?

Several boards stronger, more overall hook, more angular than the Torrid.

How did you drill yours?  I'm thinking of trying the MOtion Hole Drilling.

Hopefully my thumb mold was made on Friday; I'm hoping to get the ball drilled on Monday or Wednesday.

Change in plans. Was going to sand the Reax up to 4000 grit and forgot I had some Track clean and sheen still on hand. Applied a light coat of this instead. Appears to knock the edge off the 1500 finish with out being nearly as shiny as say using a polish.

The vid I saw of the Yeti looks like a beast. I had the same surprise reaction after drilling my Brawler. Strong shhhtuff.

All right, I had the Yeti drilled after work.  I went with the MOtion Hole Drilling mostly since it should be a reaction I don't currently have.  The center doesn't believe in oiling lanes not assigned to the current league schedule, so I didn't learn much about the motion.  I had to use a wax pencil to scribble on the intended weight hole location since I couldn't really see any oil rings.  Even with a larger hole, the flare rings shouldn't hit the hole.  But I could tell that is much stronger than my Wicked Siege.  The Yeti made a much stronger move in the mid lane and was a lot more continuous through the pin deck.  I bowl on Scorpion tomorrow night and I plan on using the Yeti if possible.  I didn't have a great look last week with anything else, so why not?

Yeti Drilling:

Weight Hole (pin at bottom of picture, weight hole on top):

Weight hole (weight hole at bottom of picture, thumb hole at very top):

I used a 3/4" weight hole to start, the minimum suggested.  I want to throw it on a few different shots before possibly increasing the size.

On edit, I used the "insert image" link provided by the site instead of the "insert hyperlink".  Is there a way to resize the image?  I always hate scrolling to see pictures.

60x5x35 on the REAX

something x 5 x 35 on the YETI

I got a chance to throw them tonight and I am impressed. The REAX truly is a high performance ball that I can suggest alongside the Paranormal and the Nightmare. I liked the control of this ball, very easy to read. It was able to recover easily and continue through the pins, kept them low too. Snap 10s and dead flush was my common hit, I even tripped three 4 pins. I'm bringing this ball to USBC Nationals next month when I bowl, could very well be my go to ball for the fresh. I can leave my Paranormal Aura shiny when they start to break down and I'll have a killer 1-2 punch on that pattern.

Yeti was a very strong midlane ball. I noticed the ball not going sideways at the end of the pattern, but revving towards the pins. This also kept the pins low and straight back. I was able to play in the same zone as the REAX as long as I geared down and not try to force it through the front. Definitely not allergic to oil, I can definitely see playing multiple angles with this ball.

The Reax is very much a strong ball. Polished my Paranormal to make it a little more user friendly on a wider range of conditions with the idea of the Reax being my heavier oil ball.

The Reax is every bit the heavy oil ball and more. Too much for me at box finish. Sent a message to admin so I can get started on the review for this ball. Have a Yeti and another Reax coming in today. The vids of the Yeti so far show this ball to be a hand full no doubt. As a big Brunswick/DV8 fan I am now on board with the Radical equipment as well. Look forward to adding the Elite Torrid to my arsenal. No doubt a great ball that I will be able to use as my bench mark ball.

For those lower rev players, speed dominate players, and guys who want to cover a lot of boards the Reax will do make that possible. I can't say enough that the ball hooooooks. Shot some footage today and will get some more Tuesday to finish up my video for the Reax. Using two different centers. One has a standard medium oil house shot, the other will be a lighter oil THS.

So far after 2 weeks of league I have no complaints with it my Reax at all. It has been more user error than the ball. I am just not throwing any of stuff very good right now. I have already had a few people ask me about the ball and what brand it was so I then went into my Radical story.

I agree the Reax is for sure a ball that will cover some boards. I am still tweaking mine to find the best overall condition for it and I will then be shooting the video. I am having fun throwing this ball and seeing what it will do.

My divorce was just final last week so I have had some other stuff going on in my personal life right now but I will be getting that video done in the next week or so.

Thanks
