If I switch to Radical, what would I start with?
« on: October 14, 2013, 09:56:30 AM »
After leaving Big B products several years ago and trying several companies with inconsistent success, I have decided to stop being a ball mutt and find one good company that I can stick with. Based on the history and knowledge put into the Radical product, I think they've got to be a logical choice for consideration.
If I were to begin trying Radical products, I would want to start with something at or above an Absolute Inferno, and a higher oil ball at or above a Maxxed Out.

I am a mid fifties low rev lefty who usually prefers symmetric balls with low RG and high diff.

There seems to be a bit of overlap in the current product line, and I'm a bit confused.. I'm thinking that the Torrid Affair is probably the ball for me in the Absolute Inferno slot, and I am intrigued by the Yeti, but I am unsure which one to start with. Suggestions appreciated from those who have actually tried the products.

From there, if successful, I'll branch into the asyms to start filling out the arsenal..

Thanks in advance

In the symmetrical cored balls, I think the Torrid Affair and Yeti would be a great start.

The balls I would recommend would be:
Torrid Affair and Yeti Untamed
The Affair is a great first out ball it has a great predictable motion and the price can't be beat.
The Yeti Untamed would be the ball you can go to when the Affair is starting to struggle making it to the pocket. The Untamed is stronger than the Yeti and more continous on the backend.

For a starter ball to get an understanding of what type of ball motion Radical gives I would definitely start with the Torrid Affair as your first piece.  It is hands down the best ball for your dollar on the market.  Start with this first.

If you want something with a lot more downlane motion.  I would go with our new Reax Version 2 piece just so you have a blend of the symmetrical and asymmetrical pieces.

What about the original Reax? Can you compare the two balls?  thx!

Just from my experience from throwing both balls.  The Reax Version 2 gets started in the backends a little sooner than the original Reax.  The shape of the Version 2 is more sharp and angular as the Reax makes a much smoother motion in the backend.

I was really surprised how clean the Version 2 was through the front I have never seen a strong asymmetrical solid clear the heads as smooth as this ball.  It saved everything for the end.

Couldn't agree more about the Version 2. Ball is very strong and continous on the backend. The Version 2 is going to get peoples attention.
