Well had a chance to test out The Jackpot and before I make my general post on other sites wanted to do it here first. This was a two part experiment as a staffer that I was excited about. Eddie Curtis told me when you're in the pro shop you need to tinker a bit I did just that. Mo Pinel gave us a low flare layout to use. I wanted to try it because I have poor ball speed and on drier conditions I have issues at times. Also I wanted to see all the fuss about 14lb balls. I grabbed a 14lb Jackpot and wanted to see the low flare layout on this strong Pearl at a lower weight would fair.

The layout is 80 X 2 X 30. Surface was OOB and I tested the ball on a broken down pair late shift and haven't been re oiled. I felt the lower weight would give me more speed. Also the layout would help me as well. I was shocked at what I saw. This ball is very strong and one of the better pearls I've used since the Uncaged. The Jackpot went thru the heads well even though the lanes were broken down. I was playing around the four arrow to five at break. This ball went down, turned the corner smoothly, and had one hell of a finish. I see what Derek Payne was saying that the Jackpot was a stronger Pearl. The layout along with the lighter weight was really fun to use. I kept moving left 2-1 and the ball kept coming back with a very good finish. My problem a lot of times is when I move inside I get a lot of corner pins. I didn't with this ball. Out of four games only two ten pins.

If I used a 15lb and was using a stronger layout I would start with this ball right away on all house shot patterns. On sports shots I would use this combo maybe for shorter patterns or when the lanes break down and I want to control down lane motion a bit. It's not one of those over-under pearls. Radical did a great job with this ball and I can't wait to get my hands on the newer ones coming out soon.

-I didn't see a lack of carry using 14lb ball
-low flare layout smooth the ball out and had a nice smooth transition not jumpy.
-Didn't see over/under type reaction you get from most pearls.
-Very strong Pearl that is a must in your bag. The shape wasn't anything like the other balls in the line even though it has the finger scoop core. Love the core/cover combo

Can you provide your specs please

I recently got a Jackpot in 15lbs given to me by my online coach.
It was his own ball that he bowled many honor scores with.
He felt this would be the perfect ball for my style of bowling.

My delivery specs are:

-Full Roller
-Low ball speed (11 mph at the pins)
-Low revs (150 rpms)
-Zero Tilt
-90 degree axis rotation
-180 composite average

Because of my low speed and zero tilt my coach gave me a layout for the Jackpot that is the Full Roller equivalent of a 3/4 roller's 80 x 5.25 x 45.

The layout is pin 45 degrees down from center of grip and 1.5" away from center of grip. Fingers drilled to normal depth.

I tried the Jackpot at 4000 grit polished for starters.
This ball is pretty amazing and versatile.
It gets pretty far up the lane for me but then comes off with a strong continuous move left.
This ball conserves a lot of energy with the low flare layout and carries a lot of strikes even on not so good hits.
My first night in league with the Jackpot I played straight up second arrow all night and finished with a 667 series, my all time high series!
This ball is that good and carries so well.
It really lifted my game.
The Jackpot gave me miss room on either side of my arrow.
If I missed a little right the Jackpot would still get up and then push back to the pocket.
If I missed inside in the oil the Jackpot would sit and then go left through the pocket.
The Jackpot is money!
