Radical ball for lanes on the drier side
« on: April 28, 2013, 03:23:01 PM »
Looking to get the Reax and the Yeti this week...  Looking to get something for the light to drier conditions..  Any recommendations for a stroker with about 13.5 ball speed ?  Also, I usually like balls drilled using a shorter pin to get the pin under my bridge..  Is this advisable for these balls ?

Times Up Pearl is still a great ball for medium light oil.
Drill it real weak and/or change the surface to 4000 grit + polish to handle much lighter oil.

Ive tested the 3 new balls with pin up and pin down layouts and they all roll awesome.  Pick your favourite pin and layout and start striking my friend.

I have a slant pearl that I picked up last year.  I only have a few games on it, but it seems to be a nice option as well for medium/lighter conditions (depending on surface).  The cover has some type of particle contained in it.  It doesn't provide a lot of traction, but seems to smooth out the backend a little.  Might be worth considering as well.
