Radical Grease Monkey Reaction Video
« on: January 23, 2014, 06:12:09 PM »
We did something a little different this time around, and added in another bowler, so this video features 2 testers. Our usual tester Jason used a 60x5x70 drilling, and Dan used the same but with a P3 hole. Dan is a little slower speed, and lower rev rate than Jason, and we hope that this style might appeal to more bowlers.

Please don't take my comment as criticism of you videos. I love your videos, and understand why the ball was deflecting so much now

CRITICIZERRRR!!!! Just kidding man; but I wanted to put my thoughts into this forum as well, but not to criticize you or how the GM clearly looked.

I get tired of always seeing a new ball "strike"............ when I buy a new ball and drill it, it rarely strikes. Can't figure out why-- they look the same as the equipment in the videos, but it rarely works that way for me :-)

I look forward to seeing the GM on a shot after game 3; THS broken down some using other Radical equipment-- possibly tracking balls used and lines/attack strategy. Game 1 at the beginning on fresh, game 2 (adjustments?), game 3 (ball change? new target?), game 4 and beyond with the GM and other "weaker" Radical balls.

I know its a lot-- if you would be willing to fly me up to Canada (only covering my travel costs to and from BRCanada :-) ) I will be happy to assist in my ideas and the implementation of those thoughts.

Of course, I could just stop being lazy and come up there myself, but I like my "strategy" better.

Keep up the GREAT work BR Canada! You guys are great, and I (we!) appreciate the time and work you put into these videos and tutorials!

Would the Grease Monkey be considered a dry lane ball ? If not what ball in the Radical line would be a dry lane ball ? Thanks Carlos

Oh we wouldn't take anything the wrong way.  It's all good. We appreciate the support very much!  Like I said all these balls are amazing on the patterns there made for.  Last thing we want is to make a ball look bad.  Stay tuned and thanks again.
It is critical that the lane condition (heavy, fresh, or left over) match the intended use of the ball. Most once-a-week league bowlers do not modify the surface of their new ball unless it radically does not match the house pattern. Then off to the pro shop to "add some polish". Most do not know what abralon or siaair is.

The overlay of the ball paths are used to compare the new release to the current ball. I closely analyze the ball after it goes into the rack to see its deflection (or lack of it). I bought a ball last year that left some stone 9 pins on the videos and guess what - I left them also.

What I really like about the video is the second bowler wearing the Phil and Mo character tee shirt. Nice touch.

Good to hear. I'm very interested in seeing some head to head comparison to wrap my brain around where this ball lies. (Fingers crossed it's with the Torrid Affair)
