Radical and Buddies - I'm on the bandwagon now...
« on: February 11, 2014, 11:31:08 AM »
You all know from my previous posts that I've been on the fence about using an online service like Buddies, but decided to give it a try since my local driller just hasn't been able to hit the holes or provide decent advice for the last year. I've also been searching for a new company to build an arsenal with, one has a sufficient range of products that I think would provide me a visible distinction between balls, even for a low-rev lefty like myself.
I got my first ball (Torrid Affair) back froim Buddies and it was great, but since I sent a ball to be copied (the only one I had left that fit well), that was not totally unexpected. What was unexpected was the need to have it replaced under warranty. Hey, things happen. Bottom line... Buddies and Radical came through for me. What was even more unexpected is that the second ball fits even better than the first, if that's possible.
I'm always straight up and it's easier for me to complain then to congratulate, because I manage a customer service operation, and service is all that matters. But under the same guidelines, it's really important to let everyone know when service goes above and beyond. It's easy to be good when all is perfect. We show our real self when things go south.
That's why I am absolutely on the bandwagon for both Buddies and Radical. This new Torrid fits as well as the original. They handled the problem quickly and perfectly, even though this was my first purchase.
I'll need a little more ball reaction than I'm getting from the Torrid Affair, but that's why they call it an arsenal, right? I know where to go now. To those of you who recommended Buddies originally, you were right.
I'm sold on both companies....

Thanks for giving Radical a try and glad you like the Torrid Affair. If your looking at staying in the Radical line for your arsenal give the Reax Version 2, Yeti Untamed, and the Grease Monkey a look.

I think Yeti Untamed is the next one I'd get. Symmetrical, reaction moved downlane, continuation... That's what I've heard at least... I'm not a big Asym fan, but want to have one in the bag in the final configuration.
Thoughts on that?

If you want to stay with symmetrical cores then I would go with the Yeti Untamed and the Grease Monkey.
