Radical Results
« on: March 23, 2020, 03:20:08 PM »
This ball is something special.  Thrown on a standard house shot.  My Rev rate is 375, low tilt 7°, 60° axis rotation, ball speed 17 to 18mph.  The Results picks up really well in the midland and very strong and continual off the breakpoint.  As I moved left and softened up the hand a little, I was able to open up the whole right side of the lane.  This ball does not quit, it keeps coming.  The Results accepts surface changes very well.  Giving you almost endless options on a wide variety of lane conditions.  A must have in your bag.

Every once in awhile a ball outside "the normal" catches my eye.  Having been on staff for 15 years I've thrown LOTS of Brunswick equipment.  My Uppercut uses the textured pearl cover and I love it.  Most pearls that come polished are over/under for me, so 90% of the balls that come polished get a quick surface tweak.

This cover, especially with more surface, can handle a good amount of oil, but should be slightly more responsive off the back of the pattern than many of the strong solids, in my estimation.   I have seen the Results (shiny) on the lanes with a fellow staffer who is clearly rev dominant, and it was a hard left turn.  I told him to dull the surface and retry it, but then we've been off bowling for a few weeks, and will continue to miss for another couple, due to the pandemic.

Hopefully we can resume league before too long so I can watch it with surface applied.  I can see myself buying this ball as an "asymmetrical Uppercut".  If it is it will be what I'm looking for.  Let's hope we can all stay healthy during this crisis and get back to throwing strikes with whatever ball we use.

Every once in a while, an inept person, who basically has to "sell his soul to the devil", just to get free (or highly discounted) bowling equipment will drop by here and bomb us with one of these "reviews".

Must be hell to be that desperate for equipment.

Mr. Pariah, you are extremely rude.  I hope you feel better now. You don't know me.  I don't hide behind a screen name, so if you're ever in my direction please look me up.  I manage a bowling center so I'm very easy to find.  Bring your bowling balls and your wallet with you.  I'm not the world's best bowler, but I'm not afraid of competition.

By the way, mine was not a review.  I was trying to elaborate WHY I may end up purchasing this ball.  I don't care that you're jealous of staffers, or why all the venom toward someone you've never met?  Some of us try harder than others to give good information.  I have answered hundreds of personal messages over the years regarding Brunswick, Storm, and other brands.  I enjoy trying to help other bowlers. But you're not listening, so let's bowl.

Hi Lane. I should stay out of this, but have you perhaps considered that Pariah was commenting on the OP's post, just as I was? He's right, and add me to that particular list. We  DO NOT need these crap reviews that use all the buzzwords. You are respected and appreciated, but perhaps the comment wasn't directed to you??? In my case at least, definitely after the OP for reviews like that, and always will be.

Thanks lefty,

Since he started his remarks the same way I did, I took it that way.  There are some very good and knowledgeable people here (you are among those I like to read) and at times we all get frustrated.  Thanks again.

P.S. I don't care for many of the reviews here lately either, but I find myself posting less reviews because I bowl on house shots 90% of the time.  Every ball looks good on house shots...

Loving my Results. What are the chances this ball gets a Hybrid or an actual Solid cover on it? Going to grab a 2nd or maybe even a 3rd Results and put different patterns/surfaces on them.

I feel whatever Radical decides to do next, it will at least be interesting. With it being the Textured Pearl, they technically have an option for a straight Solid, Pearl, or Hybrid for the next ball, or, for those who bowl on 60 feet of oil, they could come out with a Textured Solid, or Textured Hybrid cover. They have a gap at the top of the bag for a big solid right now, so that is what I think will come next.

Anyone tries a pin axis drilling with this ball? Any thoughts on how it might roll?
