Radical Torpedo Direct Hit      @15lbs 2.482 .054 .017   DynamiCore
WWRD 03/20/2025    (12-16 lbs)   Alternate Core 12-13 lbs   Volume- Dry/Light/Spares
Core- Torpedo Asymmetric (NEW)   Coverstock- Low Friction Reactive (NEW)
This is a biggest example same core different cover is right here. The Radical Torpedo Asymmetric core (see Radical Torpedo Review) is wrapped around a Low Friction Reactive cover. This is similar to the Hammer Axe, but with a top tier core. The Spy (06/17/2021) has the Incognito core but the cover is a ‘textured” polyester. Bowlers (me, too) have taken of the compound and polish off The Spy and can use it on dry lanes. The Torpedo Direct Hit is stronger than The Spy but can still be used as a spare ball option. We can see bowlers who like the older reaction (down & in/straighter/slower speeds) who have difficulty with many current balls will like this ball. Add surface? Yes, but it will not be a big change. The price difference between both Torpedoes is pretty substantial. We would say this isn’t a 1-2 combo, but different enough to drill the same and use for different situations. If you bowl on high friction or need some help keeping the ball off the headpin, take a look at this one.
