Ridiculous and original guru
« on: October 31, 2015, 01:54:27 PM »
Hello all,

I am considering giving radical a shot.  Looking at the original guru and the new ridiculous.  For people who have thrown these two, what are they good on etc?

Original Guru is good on everything (at the right surface of course)  The two newest Guru's are even better than the first IMO.

The Ridiculous is pretty strong on the back.  I use it when I need that hockey stick shape.  I haven't touched the surface but it looks like it would take adjustments with ease.

Out of all the Radical balls I've drilled it seems you just have to throw your favorite layout on them and you'll love the reactions you get.

I agree with the original Guru with the right surface prep would work on many conditions and it does work well when putting polish on it or sanding it. The Guru would be better for heavier oil conditions. I have used the Guru on longer oil patterns like the new PBA Scorpion to get a stronger midlane roll, and on a house shot when I need to move left into the puddle but still have a strong overall motion. Mine is drilled pin under and it still has plenty of energy down lane.

The Ridiculous would be good for medium oil conditions or a house shot. I agree that the Ridiculous has a hockey stick reaction and would be good for when you can throw it to the friction. This is a new reaction type for the radical line, and lives up to the billing of a strong backend motion. I have used the Ridiculous on a house shot and on a sport shot when I need to get a stronger backend motion.

The ridiculous is appropriately named.  The ball is just fun to throw and watch.  The all black cover makes you wait to see the move in the back. Hockey stick is the typical description on the ball motion. The farther right you can go up front. the more ridiculous the move in the backend. Great ball  cover and core match up to make a really long late big move.  the carry is awesome .  Great Ball
