Torrid
« on: July 25, 2012, 12:56:00 PM »
I will say I have been bowling horrible this summer league. I picked one of these up from tekneek last week. I had it drilled out Monday night. All I can say is wow.  First game out of the box a 276, 249, and a 188 for a nice 713 series. The 188 wasn't the balls fault it was the person throwing it. I didn't make the right moves and kept pulling it left off my hand. I normally use my slant solid for the first shift. My normal line is 24 to 15 swinging out to 6 for the break point. The Torrid gave me my A-Game back which is running up the boards. I was able to play 17 to 5 all night. I find this ball slides through the heads with easy and starts to rev up mid lane and make a nice movement off the dry. If you have a light to medium oil shot for league I suggest looking at this ball. I wasn't disappointed.

update with a few more games. I have been averaging around 230 with the ball over the last 6 sets.  I find that on the early league pattern that I can play right up the 5-10 boards and the ball keeps coming back. When the lanes break down I can swing this ball from 15 out to 2-3 board and it comes back. Funny I was the only person throwing Radical in my area. I am starting to notice a few more Torrid's in my area now. Local proshops are not carrying them yet but after watching me and others. People are wanting to know who Radical is and where they can pick them up.

I cant wait to drill one up. I've always like every ball that has had that core in it. How'd you lay yours out?
