Uniqueness of Radical Bowling Technologies
« on: March 22, 2013, 09:16:19 PM »
One of the key uniqueness of RBT is we focus on the drilled bowling ball. We really do not care about the numbers based on an undrilled ball. We design balls and study the impact of putting holes in a ball. Check out the yeti with the scoop out of the top of the core. We have that there so you do not drill the fingers into the core on pin up balls thus dramatically increasing the diff. With a pin down drilling you hit the core lowering the diff. This creates dramatic yet predictable differences. All our competitors give numbers on undrilled balls, the difference once you put a hole in a ball is dramatic.
The Reax as the most comprehensive drill sheets available, tuning the ball to the bowlers release, predicting the motion and than tuning it so you strike more.
That is only one of our uniqueness.

My Yeti arrived yesterday, and I am anxiously awaiting the return of my ball driller from Reno so I can get it punched up!

Have yet to throw my Reax, Im saving it for the Orbdriller's Scratch tournament where I know there will be enough oil to showcase the ball. But it's just something about the dull all black that just hypnotises me. I love it. Makes me want a whole bag full at different surfaces.

Yeti might get ordered within the next week, I want to see the different between the pin up and pin down.

What i like, especially with the Reax, is the ball can be drilled using the very comprehensive drill sheet or with a bowlers favourite layout and every which way, the ball is a tank.  Im very impressed with Reax and Yeti.

Its an interesting concept. A lot of time has been spent trying to take advantage of those characteristics when drilling a ball
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

I have to tell you that i've been around the block with bowling ball companies (i'm a little bit of a ball junky).  I was always a Storm guy until I got a visit from Parker Bohn in November.  Just the convo with him peeked my interest in the Brunswick/DV8/Radical brands.  I haven't stopped using them since and was fortunately accepted onto the Radical Staff recently.

The Radical stuff that I have drilled are truly special. The continuation and ball motion are something I haven't seen before.  I'm still building my bag back up but currently I have (2) Unleashed a Reax2 Solid a Gusto (which i'm drilling today) a Yeti and a Grease Monkey.  All of them are great pieces and with a couple of big tournaments the next few weeks in my area, i'm confident i have all my bases covered.

James-- I know EXACTLY what you mean; I have the first Reax, drilled pin down-- it's my "well, everything else goes straight on this pattern, I need someone that HOOKS" ball. Just purchased another one since they are being disco'd-- the ball is a winner, and I've never felt so confident throwing a shot as I have with the Reax.

Like you, the Yeti piqued my interest, so I bought 2-- Motion hole for one, and I'm not sure of the layout for another; the 3 ball line up of the Yeti's will cover 90% of the patterns most bowlers will face, and the price point really is affordable.

Good luck in the tourney-- I've got my Reax at box condition/surface; my next Reax will be a pin up layout, and we'll play with surfaces when we get there. I think it could be very playable at 4k for league patterns, but my OOB Reax is just too much for my league patterns. It took the place of my Nexus (the first one, pink/blue solid), and I didn't think a ball could handle volume like the nexus and still have energy to turn the corner down lane-- well, the Reax does, and its not even close.

Good luck, great scores, and enjoy the Radical family. I sure do (and they don't pay me to say that!)-
Reax-45x4.5x40(pin down)
Nexus (original)- 45 x 4 x 35 (pin up)
503t-45x4.5x40
Source-60 x 5.5 x 50
Nexxxus f(p+s)-70x5.5x35
Marauder-55x5x50 (2k+polish)
300t-60x5.5x50 (+polish)
Melee-75x6x40 -- Anyone want to buy this?
