What do you want to see next from Radical
« on: January 10, 2014, 09:04:53 PM »
I just wanted to post and say how happy I am with Radical bowling..I am absolutely loving my Yeti Untamed and Reax2.. Already making plans to get the Reax2 Pearl and the Grease Monkey..

Now, with that said, all Radical needs now is some better looking bags, and a plastic ball with the finger scoop core for dry lanes and spares.. Just sayin hint, hint, hint....

Something using Mo's giant Quantum-like mushroom core from his Morich motion series balls.

I'd like to share a funny story with all of you, not meant to slam the topic but sort of applies here.
We were at a demo day and a guy is striking like crazy throwing the demo ball, torrid affair. He throws about 20 in a row and all is friends are counting. When he finally misses he say to me "boy I really like this ball, how should I drill it" I give him the Phil look and say "where do you bowl" he say "here" So I say " lets start over" he says again " I really like this ball how should I drill it" , I say "how about like that" he say "I have never drilled a ball this way" I say " have you every thrown a 20 bagger" his answer "No".
I get a kick out of guys always look for something better. We build balls to make an arsenal and to appeal to different styles, when you get one that works keep it and keep drilling the same ball the same way. Nothing worng with that Philosophy.
Regarding the bags, I hate bags, they are a necessary evil though so we have a few. We are a high tech ball company, that's what we are good at and that what we concentrate on. If you strike enough who cares about a plastic ball for spares. Todays game is a "string the strikes" game. That what we strive to build, balls that help you string'em

SVstar34--

Actually, I'm hoping to NOT see any new releases for another 6 months or so; not that I don't want to see the next idea come to life from Radical, but the shelf life of the wonderful bowling balls which they create are already being discontinued and "thrown out".

Think about it-- the original Reax, and Yeti. Certain websites are already cutting the prices by a third just to move them, because it won't be long until they are no longer produced. Heck, that's how I got my Reax-- black friday special for 99.99 shipped.

But, I guess this is a discussion for another day
Reax-45x4.5x40(pin down)
Nexus (original)- 45 x 4 x 35 (pin up)
503t-45x4.5x40
Source-60 x 5.5 x 50
Nexxxus f(p+s)-70x5.5x35
Marauder-55x5x50 (2k+polish)
300t-60x5.5x50 (+polish)
Melee-75x6x40 -- Anyone want to buy this?

+1. No ball is necessary, get a T-Zone, Maxim, WD and go to work. The Original Reax is the Only Radical ball I own and it sucks up the pattern and still strikes. Yeti Untamed, and a Torrid Affair is on the way.

Guys would rather hook the ball than strike, it's getting to be too common a thing.

There are plenty of options out there for spare balls and bags, lets keep Radical a ball company!

I do understand that having the name Radical on a bag is a great way to promote the brand though.

Crossing a greater number of boards does not guarantee higher scores. It took me many years to realize that energy retention and carry are my 2 best friends. Total hook is great if it provides higher scores. My 2 cents!

As for "new ball" or something else from Radical--

How about something similar to the Grease Monkey, only with a solid cover? I'm intrigued by the 'finger scoop core' and hopefully I can try it sometime. I do need something for later in the block at tournaments, or for a specific center I visit that has old, high friction wood lanes which just love to make a ball move more than it should at 30 feet.

Glad to see Newguy's (Phil's) response.  Who needs a core in a plastic spare ball?

Love my pin up Yeti Untamed, pin down Yeti Untamed, and Torrid Elite.  All this crap about new balls three months after a ball's been released is just lame.  You're just looking to buy some more game in a box.
Long Gone also posts the honest truth which is why i respect him. He posts these things knowing some may not like it.

I'm looking forward to drilling a pin down Yeti, and a pin up Torrid (if I can find one). Need something for the middle/bottom of my arsenal.

Loaded revolver taken up to 2k and polished just isn't doing it on medium dry lanes
