Yeti Untamed vs Brunswick Versa max.
« on: June 01, 2014, 12:05:46 AM »
I'm looking for a step down from my versa max, would the yeti untamed be a good choice for that? My versa max is good until the middle of the second game before it starts burning up to much. I'm dealing with light to medium oil at best. Thanks

I think the Yeti Untamed might be too much ball. Try a Grease Monkey if you want to try Radical equipment. It's way more ball then the price point leads you to believe.  I've used it under my Versa Max for a few months now, with a pin down layout. It's a very nice piece.

Quite honestly, the LT48 is the best choice for that.  It's a solid like the Versa with a little weaker cover and core.  Great compliment to the Versa.  I've found the Radical covers sneaky strong, including the Great Monkey.  They roll really well but I don't think it's a step down from the Versa.

I've used the Versa and LT48 all year as a 1-2 punch in my league.
